5 Stars - Magical tour through the jungle where we got to see so many Orang-Utans! Nang Nang as our guide was a very fun guy with a lot of experience with the animals and plants of the jungle.

Jungle tour with tour Guide IAN - It was a wonderful memory. Along the way you can see a wide variety of creatures including monkeys, orangutans and turtles. You can also catch and actually eat fish in the river. Camping in the wilderness was one of my best memories. The second day rafting was one of the best memories of the tour. Our tour Guide IAN was also very courteous and kind, and even more entertaining at all times.

Orangutan hike - Great trip overall. Andy was an awesome tour guide and Arif’s dinner was amazing especially the chicken rendang. Got to see several orangutans and many different monkeys. The hike to camp was difficult but worth it and the raft trip back was the cherry on top.

A Magical Jungle Hike - My friend and I booked the two day 1 night jungle tour with Monkey Business and had a 5 star experience. From booking, Suria kindly reached out to via WhatsApp to ensure we had passage from Medan to Bukit Lawang, as well as an accommodation for our night in Bukit Lawang. The food and room through Monkey Business was top notch. Our hike was with Nang Nang, a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. He helped us on our adventure to see orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, and many many more of Sumatra’s beautiful wildlife. Overall Monkey Business exceeded my expectations, and their motto “come as guests, leave as family” has never been more true. 5/5

Special wildlife encounters with great guides. So much fun - We had so much fun on this trek! We weren't sure what to expect but we saw about 12 Orangutans (male and several females with babies). We were also lucky to see some Thomas leaf monkeys, a family of gibbons, a civet, 2 rhinoceros hornbills, long tail macaques and pig tail macaques. Our wonderful guide, Nungnung always helped us get into position to take some great pictures. He also constantly made sure we were having a great time and moving at a comfortable pace. Once we got to camp, Anto (our other guide/chef) made us a delicious family style dinner. Nungnung and Anto were not only great at their jobs, but also so much fun to be around! I would definitely reccomend this experience and I hope to come back to do a longer trek with Nungnung and Anto.

Basic camping but beautiful setting right by the river. River rafting was a great end to a lovely weekend in the jungle. Loved the monkey knecklace handmade by my dedi! Thanks so much!

Welcome to the Jungle - It was an amazing time in the wild! Couldn't have been a better experience.. from trekking trails, watching wildlife, walking through the jungle waters and rafting the river to eating authentic indonesian food and jungle fruits on banana leafs and making new friends. All in two days. Nang Nang and Putra made sure we were safe all the way and they were always on the watch for animals to see and interesting jungle stories to tell. Best jungle experience ever.

2 days/1night - We stayed 2days/1night in Bukit Lawang and it was ok. We saw orangutans, but they were always the same. It felt like walking on the spot because you walk twice the same way back and forth. You pass the orangutan feeding point twice. You can find it on Google Maps and visit it yourself without spending money. It had relatively little of a real jungle trip because everything went very badly. Bukit Lawang is also surrounded by palm oil plantations. It had less to do with the real jungle. You only move about 5 km in two days and you basically walk in a circle. If you really want to experience something, you better go to Ketambe. We have heard many times that it is about really wild animals and the prices are much more reasonable. The guides and food were good. Accommodation in Bukit Lawang was also good.
