The Famine Memorial features a series of bronze sculptures of gaunt figures, symbolizing the suffering and despair of the Irish people during the famine.

  • The Custom House - Designed by the famous architect James Gandon and completed in 1791, the Custom House was constructed to accommodate the city’s customs administration.
  • The Spire - The Spire is a modern architectural wonder designed by Ian Ritchie Architects and finished in 2003.

It rises to a height of 120 meters (394 feet) and is made entirely of stainless steel.

  • Ha’penny Bridge - Erected in 1816, the Ha’penny Bridge is among the oldest cast iron bridges globally.

It was initially called the Wellington Bridge but got its popular name from the halfpenny toll that was charged for crossing it until 1919.

  • Temple Bar - Temple Bar is celebrated as Dublin’s cultural quarter, known for its vibrant atmosphere.
  • Christ Church Cathedral - Christ Church Cathedral is one of Dublin’s most ancient buildings, with roots going back to the 11th century.

It was established in 1030 by the Norse King Sitric Silkenbeard and the Viking bishop Dúnán (Donat) of Dublin.

  • Saint Patrick’s Cathedral - St. Patrick’s Cathedral is situated on the site where it is believed that St. Patrick baptized converts to Christianity in the 5th century.
  • Dublin Castle - Dublin Castle has been a pivotal site of power and governance in Ireland since the 13th century.

It was initially constructed as a medieval fortress by the Anglo-Normans and later transformed into a royal residence, administrative hub, and emblem of English authority in Ireland.

  • Molly Malone Statue - The statue depicts Molly Malone, a fictional character from a well-known Irish folk song.

The song narrates the story of Molly, a fishmonger who worked on the streets of Dublin.
