Invaluable experience - Unforgettable experience I will never forget those two days. Everything was 100% great from the first minute to the last. It's true that the road is long, but it's worth a visit. Our driver, who was also a tour guide, did a great job. During the drive, he told us a lot and introduced us to the places where we stopped. The tents in the camp and the staff are also excellent. Thanks to everyone responsible for this trip

Boyhood dreams come to life. - Amazing experience in the Sahara Desert, more beautiful than I could have imagined. The car ride from Fez was all day each way, but the scenery along the way was actually a very cool part of the experience. Atlas mountains, geology rivaling the American West - and stops along the way at small towns for real atmosphere. The camel rides were bumpy and ungainly, but that's part of the experience too. Accomodations were quite nice, food was fine, but nothing special.

The Sahara was magical - The drive is very long, but there are some interesting stops on the way. My teenager said the monkeys in the Middle Atlas were his favorite part! We got to see so much of the country - ski areas, apple orchards, Berber camps, shepherds, goatherds, towering desert buttes, oases. It was amazing. But getting to the Sahara was truly magical. When we arrived, they took our bags and we were put on camels with a Touareg guide and as the sun slid behind the horizon we went up an extraordinary red sand dune. It might be one of the most magical moments I've ever had - we slid down several times like sledding! The tent we had was luxe (nicer than many hotel rooms). The food was local, vegetable heavy and very healthy, as well as delicious. The drumming at night was done by the same Touareg's who'd led the camels and served our dinner, and it was of truly excellent quality. The camels returned us to the taxi, and we drove back again but this time able to stop for a local market, buying apples along the way and be a little more leisurely (since we weren't trying to get there before sunset). If I could change anything, I would have liked to stay in the camp a full day, instead of there and back again. It really is a very long drive (8+ hours). There was surprisingly good cell coverage most of the way. This was not just the highlight of my trip to Morocco, I think it was the highlight of my year.

Very pleased - We left Fez by bus towards Merzouga, we made a few stops and breaks. Arriving in Merzouga we were able to ride a camel and explore some dunes (1 hour on a camel) then we went to our camp where very comfortable tents awaited us. The food is excellent, the staff welcoming and the tents very clean. We recommend this experience to anyone wanting to discover the desert. However, the bus journey is extremely laborious (~11 hours there and 10 hours return) contrary to the times announced by the guide. In addition, the advert listed a camel ride upon our arrival in the desert as well as upon our departure, we had the unpleasant surprise of only doing it once (with bad weather). We are still very delighted with this excursion, thanks to our guide Driss and the driver.

Amazing Experience; communication could have been better - Overall, this experience was an amazing and possibly once-in-a-lifetime experience. I really wanted to rate them 5 stars, but there were communication difficulties that made that impossible. We had asked them questions ahead of time, but it took a long time to get a reply and we got wrong information, then during the tour we were hardly given any information as to the plan of what was happening. Last, the "two-hour" camel tour ended up being about 15minutes on the camel and an hour sitting in the dunes waiting for sun-down. Other groups were on their camels longer, but for some reason we weren't. It seemed like everything was decided moment by moment. All that being said, our tour guide was amazing and the experience itself was great. And we really got to see A LOT of morocco. Things I wish I knew ahead of time: 1. Bring moroccan dirham. Cards will be accepted almost nowhere and euros were not accepted at all outside the city. I'd recommend having the equivalent of about $75-$100/person. You probably won't spend all of it, but better to have too much. (Also, have some coins. We had to pay for bathrooms about half the time. 2. You will need a scarf. I'd recommend getting one in Fez, because it will be the right size and material. It cost us about $9, but I know some people spent more. 3. Our tents had outlets and the camp had wifi. 4. Bring some snacks and water. We were able to stop whenever we asked, but since you're with a whole group, it was more comfortable to have some of your own things for when you were hungry/thirsty but others weren't. 5. As a vegetarian, I did have enough to eat. But be prepared for a lot of potatoes and vegetables and not a lot of protein.

Caotico y poca comunicación - To be honest the experience was very chaotic. We paid extra to go on a car with 6 people and we were put in a van with 17 people. In addition, we were with a group that had not paid for the same experience as us (with individual room and bathroom). We talked about it with the guide, and he told us not to worry that we would have everything we booked (besides de bus/car ride). However, they were not explaining anything to us, there was very poor communication, and at all points of the trip we were concerned that they were taking us into consideration. We did get reinbursed for a bit of the price for not going in the car, but in my opinion, the reinbursement does not make up for the bad communication and the change of plans lasti minute. Nevertheless, the trip in to the desert is totally worth it, but make sure that you get what you paid for
