Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga

Ifrane - Your driver will pick you up from your riad or hotel at 7:30 am to start your journey to the enchanting Merzouga- Erg Chebbi Dunes! This seven-hour trip takes you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, showcasing some of Morocco’s most captivating landscapes. Ifrane is often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco.

Azrou Cedar Forest - This seven-hour journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains, offering some of Morocco’s most stunning scenery. You’ll travel through the expansive cedar forest.

Midelt - Midway through the trip, you’ll stop for lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossils and rocks.

Rissani - As you continue towards Merzouga, you’ll stop to take in a panoramic view of the vast palm tree oasis in Rissani.

Merzouga Desert - Arriving in Merzouga around 5 PM, your guide and camels will be waiting for you. After a brief rest, you’ll embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the sunset from your camel as you traverse the desert landscape. After two hours, you’ll reach a desert camp where you’ll spend the night in a Berber tent. Your camels will be hobbled, and mint tea will be served after dinner. Spend the night stargazing in the tent.

Merzouga / Tinghir / Todra Gorge / Ouarzazate

Tinghir - After a delicious breakfast, you’ll depart for Ouarzazate, traveling along the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, which rise like turreted sandcastles along this ancient caravan trading route.

Todgha Gorge - You’ll have free time to explore the Todgha Gorges.

Dades Gorges - Pass by the Dades Gorges.

Ouarzazate - In the afternoon, drive along the road of the Kasbahs to Dades Valley before arriving at your hotel, La Rose du Vally. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Dades Valley or Ouarzazate, depending on availability.

Ouarzazate / Ait Ben Haddou / Marrakech

Vallee Des Roses - You may choose to visit one of the rosewater cooperatives to learn how locals create rose-scented perfumes using distilled rose water.

Ait Ben Haddou - Have lunch at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as a set for various Hollywood movies, fashion shoots, and commercials. The well-preserved Kasbah consists of several Kasbahs packed together, appearing as a single unit.

Tizi n Tichka - In the afternoon, begin your descent through the Atlas Mountains, with a photography stop at Tizi n’Tichka Pass. You’ll pass by various Berber villages with houses made of stone and mud.

Marrakech-Safi - Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your driver will take you to your riad or hotel. This marks the end of your Fes to Marrakech desert tour.
