A Day of Adventure Begins

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for activities that promise both fun and relaxation for the whole family. When I heard about the Carneiros Beach Tour in Pernambuco, I knew it was something I had to experience. The tour promised a day filled with exploration, from a catamaran tour to a clay bath, and even a visit to the charming Igrejinha de São Benedito. With my husband and two kids in tow, we set off on this exciting adventure.

Our day began with a comfortable ride from our hotel, the Recife Praia Hotel, along the scenic Av. Boa Viagem. The anticipation was palpable as we made our way to the first stop for breakfast. While the meal wasn’t included, the local flavors were a delightful start to our day. The kids were thrilled to try some new dishes, and it was a great opportunity to fuel up for the adventures ahead.

Exploring Carneiros Beach

Upon arrival at Carneiros Beach, we were greeted by the stunning views of the coastline. The beach was everything we had hoped for and more. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, making sure we were all set for the day’s activities. We decided to start with the catamaran tour, which was a highlight of the trip.

The catamaran took us past the main tourist attractions, including the natural pools and mangroves. The kids were fascinated by the diverse marine life visible through the clear waters. The clay bath was a unique experience, and we all had a blast covering ourselves in the mineral-rich clay. It was a perfect blend of fun and a little bit of spa treatment right on the beach!

Relaxation and Reflection

After the catamaran tour, we spent some time at the Bora Bora restaurant. Despite the slightly higher prices, the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch with a view of the natural pools. The kids loved being able to walk to the pools when the tide was low, exploring the shallow waters and spotting small fish.

The Igrejinha de São Benedito was another highlight. We chose to walk along the beach to reach the church, enjoying the serene atmosphere and the gentle waves lapping at our feet. The church itself was quaint and picturesque, a perfect spot for some family photos.

As the day came to a close, we reflected on the wonderful experiences we had shared. The sea was a bit darker than expected, but it didn’t dampen our spirits. We left with a treasure trove of memories and a strong desire to return. Carneiros Beach had captured our hearts, and we couldn’t wait to plan our next visit.
