Highlights
  • Engaku-ji - First, you will experience authentic Zen meditation at Engakuji Temple, which retains the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and was also visited by Natsume Soseki. Zen meditation sessions are open to everyone regardless of experience. Please come dressed comfortably and lightly.

Zen meditation is not something done to attain something, but rather to let go of something.

By effectively allocating time for Zen meditation, which yields nothing tangible in your daily life, other moments become richer and happier. This is the wish of Zen meditation, seeking no rewards in return.

After purifying both mind and body through Zen meditation, we will proceed to visit the highlights of Kamakura sightseeing in order. First, we will marvel at the colossal Great Buddha of Kamakura, followed by the exquisitely beautiful gardens of Hasedera Temple, and then we’ll visit the famous Hokokuji Temple, renowned for its overwhelming bamboo grove. As an optional lunch choice, you can also visit Shirasuya to taste the locally beloved whitebait dishes.

All transportation will be comfortably provided by car, allowing for a smart and efficient sightseeing experience that would normally require more than a day.
