• Dharavi - Home to nearly one million residents, Dharavi ranks as the third largest slum in the world and is among the most densely populated areas globally. This slum gained fame after the release of the 2008 hit movie Slumdog Millionaire. During this guided tour, visitors will have the opportunity to enter the slum and observe the daily lives and work of its residents. There is a strong sense of community in Dharavi, a mosaic of people from all over India; admire the diversity as you see temples, mosques, and churches standing side by side. Starting from your accommodation in Mumbai, the tour will take you through areas of plastic recycling, leather manufacturing, color dyes, fabric, pottery, and schools, and of course, a visit to my house in the slum.
