We partake in ice fishing at the immense Inari Lake, also referred to as the Sami Ocean. The lake’s vastness is such that every individual on earth could stand on its ice and still have space to raise their arms. Moreover, its average depth makes Inari Lake contain more water than all the other lakes in Finland combined. Its deepest point reaches 95 meters.
Our ideal fishing locations are situated next to the Inari village which attracts a variety of fish due to its close proximity to the river.
You will be transported via snowmobile driven by Atte and comfortably seated in a sledge for a journey of up to 4km to the lake’s ice.
Your guide, Atte Ikkala, is equipped with the most recent ice fishing technology. You will have access to ice fishing sonar and on particularly cold days, you have the option to fish comfortably from within a fishing tent. Atte also offers custom made ice fishing gear and hand-tied fishing flies. You are under the guidance of one of Lapland’s best fishers.
