Your knowledgeable local guide will instruct you on how to operate a snowmobile and provide safety guidelines. The trail covers a total distance of approximately 25-30 km….
Experience an intimate snowmobile safari with a small, local family-run company. The tour takes place along the Ivalo River and the renowned Lake Inari, set amidst stunning scenery.
Your knowledgeable local guide will instruct you on how to operate a snowmobile and provide safety guidelines. The trail covers a total distance of approximately 25-30 km.
Tina and Tapio, the owners of the family company, reside on a small island. During your visit, you’ll get a glimpse of the authentic Lappish lifestyle away from tourist areas.
Enjoy a homemade lunch in a Lappish teepee by an open fire. The meal will feature local fish or reindeer, with a vegetarian option available upon request.
You’ll also have the chance to meet our friendly reindeer, feed them, and take photos. The local guide will share insights about reindeer and life in Lapland.
Please note, this tour is not suitable for young children; the minimum age requirement is 10 years.
- The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a driver license that is valid in Finland (A1,T, A or B category)
- Take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari.
- Children will be seated in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile. Children over 140 cm in height are allowed to sit on the snowmobile behind an adult, when paying the adult price.
- Self-liability fee: In case of accident own risk is max. 700eur / snowmobile
- If you book shared snowmobiles and your group has odd number ( 1, 3, 5 ), one of you will travel as a passanger in our guides snowmobile or in the sleigh. You can swap places, so you all can drive. Single driving is available as supplement.

Good idea to book - It was a great experience. Pia was very friendly and it was nice to talk with her - we got many informations about their culture and life.

We had a great time! It... - We had a great time! It was very professional and well organised. The guide was friendly and caring, making sure we are safe during the ride and had fun. Besides, fed some cute reindeers that they are keeping which was nice!

Exceptional day! - Snowmobile day + ice fishing + lunch + reindeer. Exceptional day!! With a wonderful guide! After a beautiful snowmobile ride along the Ivalo River and Lake Inari, we stopped in the middle of the lake for a fishing session. After that, head to the tepee on an island where we meet 2 reindeer. We enjoyed an excellent reindeer soup. We recommend 400%!!

Great tour in bright sunshine - This trip was a fantastic experience. After getting dressed in warm overalls, socks, shoes, helmets, etc., we were taken about 10 minutes to the shore of Lake Inari. There we were given a short introduction to driving a snowmobile. It's very easy, there's just a throttle and a brake on the handlebars. The tour then took us across the frozen lake in brilliant sunshine with a few short photo stops. On the way back we had a break on an island. There we had a delicious sausage in a tepee and a very fine soup and delicious cake for dessert. Rambo and David, two very cute reindeer, were waiting next door and were also looking forward to the food. Then we went back to the starting point on the snowmobiles. The 3.5 hours were really great and very individual, as there were only four of us.

Great experience - Our guide, Piia, was incredibly friendly, cheerful, and attentive. I opted to pay extra for the snowmobile ride, and since it was my first time on one, she constantly checked on me while pulling a sleigh with her own snowmobile. Piia led us to a stunning location for ice fishing, and unsurprisingly, she was the only one who managed to catch a fish. On our return journey, she also made a stop to capture individual group photos.
I would recommend both the tour and the company.

Fantastic! - The tour was great! We started at the office. There we were given an explanation of what we were going to do and what we could wear. Then we had about a 10 minute drive to where the snowmobiles were located. There we were given an explanation of how the snowmobiles work and we were able to test drive them.
We had a fantastic, helpful and nice guide who told us a lot about the area, about his family and about the family business. He answered all questions with great patience. I contacted them on 1st Christmas Day and received an answer almost immediately. The link I received via Booking.com did not work and was subsequently sent to me via the app. This so that we could record the ride for Tuesday, 2nd Christmas Day! Fantastic!
Lunch in the teepee tent was also great; sausages and grandmother's homemade soup with bread. We ate all this around the campfire. Then it was time to feed the reindeer David and Rambo. We also received some explanation about this. Then unfortunately it was time to go back. We thought this ride was quite expensive, but definitely worth it!

love it! so worth it!! - The safari was amazing!! definitely recommend! the family owners were so nice and cute to us! also when we went the weather was amazing and lovely!! we also managed to see wild reeinders which was a dreammmmm! definitely 10 / 10!

Wonderful day snowmobiling - Nu boyfriend and I originally booked the northern lights tour, but because of bad weather this was unfortunately cancelled. We weren’t able to get a refund, which we were disappointed by at first. Especially since we had a very tight schedule and weren’t sure we would be able to book a tour another day.. however, the company was very flexible and arranged the snowmobile trip for us. The tour was amazing! We had a guide all to ourself - no other people on the tour! We had so much fun, snowmobiling on Lake Inari, and our guide was so nice!! We are very pleased and had a wonderful day on the Lake. Would definitely recommend!
