We will stop for lunch in the town of Quellomayo where we will also have time to relax in a lovely garden area with hammocks. We will continue on in our journey crossing the Urubamba river and winding our day down once we reach the town of Santa Teresa for some much needed rest and relaxation after our nearly 16 km day trek. About our guide on the Inca Trail - Rolan Leon Sunoco was our guide and he proved to be a wonderful guide. He was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Rolando explained everything on the way and gave us information about flowers and birds that we encountered on the way. We would love to take more trips with Rolando.

Best trip with the best guide!!! - We had the most amazing time trekking the Inca jungle 4 day trek with Jhimmy & the others in the group! Jhimmy was the best tour guide we have ever experienced on any trip. His passion and detail was truly amazing and made the experience 1000 times better. No question was ever silly and he spent time going through stories related to the trip to give us the best understanding. Thanks Jhimmy for the best trip!! Amy & Charlie :)

He has been so kind, sharing his knowledge all the way, and we had so much fun with him thanks to his sense of humor, and all the good moments we shared with him. Adventure and well-being until you reach Machupichu - I really enjoyed the experience, it was three days full of adventures and incredible landscapes where I was able to take good photographs. The climate in the jungle is warmer than Cusco, which means you can feel at ease in the water! I loved the meals, very tasty food in the places we went and in Santa Teresa the views are spectacular (don't forget to try the pisco sour, delicious). There was even a chance to swim at night in the waters of Cocalmayo! The walk past the hydroelectric plant to Aguas Calientes was very beautiful too. I climbed the stairs to Machupichu, it's demanding but worth it (but optional). All of this would not have been possible without the support of our friendly and attentive guide, Jimmy, from Southern Perú Explorers.

Best Guide - Just wanted to say that he did a really nice Job! Always addressable, eager to solve all problems, no matter what. Always patient, even if it comes to explaining something the third time. His humorous style was overall really pleasent to experience and he made perfect choices for places to eat. I wish him all the best 🙌🏻

Amazing Adventure - Adventure of a lifetime. My Mom (64) and I (23) took this tour in March of 2024 and had the most incredible experience. Our tour guide Eduardo was awesome and really brought our trip to the next level. The excursions were well selected and a whole lot of fun. If you are going to Peru you have to give these guys a call. The only recommendation I have is to book a nicer hotel in Aguas Calientes if you are more of an upscale traveler. The hostel they offer is nice enough but upgrading to the Sumaq was absolutely worth the price. Thanks again to Eduardo.

Unforgettable Inca Jungle tour - This tour had it all from hiking through the jungle, zip lining over canons, mountain biking and rafting. Peru Explorers catered for our every need and used the best facilities throughout. Peru is a beautiful county with amazing friendly people, a lot of who survive on very little so keep this in mind when staying in homesteads and eating in rural villages. Take things at a steady pace as altitude sickness is no fun. We were very fortunate to have Jhimmy as our personal guide for 4 days. He was excellent. His knowledge about plants and wildlife knows no limits and his passion for Inca history and his country made us respect and love this special place even more.

Best decision you can make - The logistics were impeccable and well communicated, the gear (bikes, safety gear, rafts, zip-line harnesses) were all top quality. Best of all was our guide Eduardo Garcia who was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the region, shared things we would have missed had he not pointed them out to us, an excellent communicator in English, pro-active, open to answering difficult questions, encouraging, warm and friendly. Excellent value for the money and an easy way to get the most out of your time with a single decision - they handled everything and even came to the hotel the night before for a pre trip briefing. Quick and responsive customer service. Highly recommended.

Great adventure to Machu Picchu - We did the 3-day adventure tour with Southern Peru explorers. This included downhill mountain biking, white water rafting, zip lining, a 10K trek to Aguas Calientes and finally the summiting and exploring of Machu Picchu. We had a fantastic experience and a lot of fun on all of the activities. Jhimmy, our guide, was excellent. He was extremely informative and passionate about the Incan and Quechuan culture. We could not recommend this experience any more if you prefer some adventure and activities whilst still experiencing Machu Picchu in its fullest.
