Incredible Tour with Rico! - If you are thinking about booking this tour, JUST DO IT! Me and my partner heard that Bromo and Ijen were the must-see spots in Java and we did some quick googling about how to best see them. People on Reddit said you can just drive to Bromo yourself, so to skip that tour and just book a tour of Ijen, but we saw way more tour options that take you to both, so for the sake of convenience we booked this tour after reading some positive reviews. After seeing Bromo/Penanjakan, I must disagree about doing it without a tour guide. If me and my partner had tried to do those alone, it would have been extremely difficult and confusing. This tour company is extremely experienced and it shows at every step of the tour. Everything is meticulously planned, everything moves extremely smoothly - efficient but always at our own preferred pace. We never felt rushed, but they were always realistic with us about ideal timing for coming and going from each spot. They also tailor just about every aspect of the tour to your needs. Where you are initially picked up, dropped off, which spots you visit and when, where you eat, dietary restrictions, and where you stay, can all be discussed and usually accomodated. We chose to let them handle the majority of that stuff on their end and we were very happy with the result. Our tour guide Rico was truly amazing. He was friendly and knowledgeable, relaxed and personable, flexible to our wants and needs, patient, and also he was always honest and realistic about what we could expect. Some things, like the blue fire, will always have a chance at not being visible due to natural conditions of the volcano. They were always honest about those chances, and luckily everything panned out perfectly for us. After we booked, we found out we had booked Bromo on a day that it is closed, so they completely redesigned our whole trip itinerary to deal with that roadblock and allow us to see everything we wanted to see. Also Rico was very easy to talk to and social (and a very good English speaker), but he also left us alone when we were eating or taking in the sights. He seemed to know exactly the right amount of chatting with us and when to let us be alone. He also is a great phone photographer, and is happy to take as many photos as you want, and will even take some candids of you while you are experiencing the sights (which he is happy to delete if you prefer). The conpany also provided extremely skilled drivers, which was an absolute necessity. You will likely completely miss the window to see certain things if you tried to drive yourself to these locations. They are true experts, and you just have to put your trust in them. They know what they are doing! The hike up Ijen was fairly strenuous as my partner and I aren't especially active in our day to day life, but to anyone who exercises regularly it shouldn't be too difficult. Also you can pay to be carted up the mountain at any point on the hike if it proves to be too much for you. The Bromo hike was very easy. In summary, this tour is worth every penny, and I can't imagine attempting to do this on our own without a tour guide and professional driver. Request Rico, he is incredible!

Amazing Adventure to Mt Bromo and Mt Ijen! - We went with Hreesang on an amazing adventure to Mt Bromo and Mt Ijen! Everything was perfect. Starting from booking: we had a very smooth experience choosing the right trip and booking it - the website has a ton of useful information which helps choosing your ideal itinerary, and the booking process is quick and smooth. Hotel pickup happened on time thanks to earlier coordination with Hreesang via Whatsapp. The drives were always pleasant - we were able to sleep on the way to the adventures to be fresh for the hikes. Our driver Takim was very experienced and got us everywhere quickly and safely! Hiking the mountains was fun, because Hreesang adjusted the pace to our skills. Once at the top, he always knew the best spots: for watching the sunset, taking pictures etc. He also knew a lot about every place we've been to and on top of that - was always happy to answer any question we might have: we were very curious to learn more about Indonesia and its culture. Last but not least: we arranged the end of the trip to be in Banyuwangi which was idal for us - we could continue traveling through Indonesia without having to waste time on transfers - our next destination was Bali and this way we saved almost a day of time on our backpacking trip! All the parts of the trip that were listed, were free for us! We stayed in a beautiful and clean hotel and ate tasty foods. Safety was always the top priority, Hreesang had us covered: he had spare flashlight, first aid kit (we never needed it), spare water and so on. The trip was planned and executed very well: we arrived everywhere at the right time, so we didn't have to rush or worry we would miss the best views - there was also time for coffee, restroom stops etc. We will remember this adventure for a long time: the sunrises, the views from Mt Bromo, visiting Mt Ijen and going down to the crater there to see blue fire. This was hands down the best organized trip we ever been to!

Amazing experience!! - It was a great experience and you could tell that the tour is tailored to make your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The crater of Mt. Bromo was incredible and I would highly recommend to see it. Unfortunately we were not lucky enough to see the view of the mountain range because of the rainy season in December, but the landscape around the National park reveal itself between the fog and light flowing through the road. My guide, Hirman, is friendly and easygoing. We went along from the beginning and were feeling comfortable enough to crack jokes to pass the time in between the different places. He also shared his knowledge of the development of Mt. Bromo and how the local live there. He set us up in a spot to watch the blue fire and the sulfur lake in Ijen where there were basically no people and he had many pictures together.

Beautiful experience with a fantastic guide! - Despite some hitches, we had a lot of fun! We had a great time in spectacular places! Especially thanks to the guide Hirman and the driver Tommy who helped us and have done way and way to make the experience as top as possible. Thank you guys! Surely if I pass through Indonesia again, I will do more tours with you.

Best experience - We booked the Private Mt. Ijen and Mt. Bromo Package and it was worth it and one of the best experiences we had while traveling to Indonesia. Although unfortunately we weren't able to see the blue fire because of the weather. However, our tour guide Hirman and the driver Mr. Kiarte did everything to get the best experience we could ever have. Beside that, they really accommodating, informative, and coordinated. They make sure that we are always safe. We literally did have nothing to worry about the trip because they took care of everything for us. 10/10 will vouch for them and recommend to everyone this package tour.

Great Bromo/Ijen tour - We did a private tour to Bromo and Ijen with guide Rico and a driver. Everything was arranged very well and communciation before and during the trip was very clear. Pick up was on time, food during the trip was good and everything was according to the itinerary. We did not see the blue fire, but that is nature and there are no guarantees. The same holds for the weather, especially during rainy season. They can also arrange travel to Bali after the tour. We enjoyed the trip very much and can highly recommend cheapbromo. The only downside was our hotel room at Grand Harvest near Ijen, which was not very clean. You can look for a hotel yourself and discuss with cheapbromo about the best option.
