3 day trekking - Great experience trekking with this company, they supported us we'll across the three days with lots of food and helped us with whatever we needed.

Only with Gili Recommeended - It was great. Everything organized as best as possible:) It is a demanding trek, but thanks to the accommodation in the mountains it becomes more enjoyable. I recommend!

Great adventure for lifetime - My wife and I are in our late thirties and our daughter is 12 years old. We took the plunge and were fully rewarded. The trip is something we won't forget in our lifetime - a real adventure. The team from Apok and Gandi got us to our destination with their friendliness, their very inspiring manner and their patience (we weren't the fastest :-D). We are very grateful for that! Especially because Gandi looked after our twelve-year-old daughter so well and always had her back. We felt very well looked after by the guides. They always had an ear for us and went to great lengths to fulfil the wishes of the group. Thank you very much! The trip with Gili Recommended is a must for anyone travelling to Lombok who is reasonably fit.

3D2N trip in mount Rinjani - Guide and porters are helpful in entire trip. They take care the team everytime. Food is good and dont worry about the water supply as guide will refill for you once you need. 3D2N hiking is really tough but the view on top is really gorgeous. Remember, must depend on your physical fitness to select the plan, and please listern to your guide in trip as they understand the difficulty and they clear how fit you are after Day 1.

3 day 2 night Rinjiani trek - I must say, I was very disappointed by the lack of communication and organization during our tour. It seems like our guide didn't have much experience leading a trekking group. It was hard to get a clear idea of the planning and alternatives in case of unexpected events. For example, in our group of 8, 2 members had difficulty following the group and arrived 3 hours later after the summit climb. At this point, our guide was unable to provide us with good and clear options as to what to do next. As far as the trekking equipement, sleeping bag and tent were not not very good quality.

3 days 2 night Rinjani trek - Rinjani 3 days 2 nights trek. To be fair, communication with the gili representative was great and had no issues regarding the booking of the activity. However, as soon as we arrived at the accommodation the night before leaving for the trek, communication with the guide who was responsible for the group was not good. All throught the trek, the guide and porters were really nice but when it came to decision making and getting a briefing on what was coming next we didn't really have answers to our questions. The tents and sleeping bags that were given to us were also not really good quality which isn't ideal when you are sleeping at high points with strong winds. Food was okay, but fresh water from sealed bottles ran out fast. The bathroom (tent) was terrible as only a small hole is digged for a group of 8 people. The bathroom system in general on the mountain does not make sense. (All camp grounds use the same system which makes the area very dirty). There was also a change of plans because 2 people in our group were very slow. The problem was that the guide didn't provide us with any good options and ended up not going to the hot springs as planned. Plus, our guide told us that if we didn't follow the itinerary we would have to pay for the transport that would drive us back to the hotel we were at before leaving for the trek. (We did not end up paying) but it took a little bit of arguing and explaining. When we got back I tried getting an answer to who was responsible for the decision making and never got an answer. In the end, I think our guide just didn't have enough experience and communication was laking. I would not recommend this company if you want to be sure to have a safe experience climbing the mountain. I'm sure there are plenty of other companies who offer more experienced guides.

Disappointing from the start to the end - The whole trip was not well organized, there was no clear informations on the hike from the start to the end. The tourists were the ones to make the plan of the day and not the guide. And because of the lack of experience of the guide, their was a huge delay in our hike that we couldn't do our original itinerary, the guide told us it was impossible and charged us an extra 600000$ to pick us up at our starting point. The hired crew/porters was not equipped well, they asked us to use our head lamps, and to use our painkillers/antibiotics because they didn't have any medical kit.. the other disappointing thing was how dirty the mountain is, the guides and porters throws their trash EVERYWHERE. In general I and the whole group were disappointed!

This was the worst trip I have ever been on! - terrible!I have never been on such a bad trip. From the beginning to the end of the trip, I was not informed of the specific itinerary by anyone, and I didn't even know where I would stay on the first day. Our guide was particularly bad. There were ten people in our team, and everyone was dissatisfied with him. His plan even threatened my safety. On the first day, he left all my luggage at the inn and didn't bring it to the mountain. When I reached the top, I didn't have a thick coat or a headlamp. I couldn't imagine that this was something a guide would do. In the middle of the second day, he asked the team for more money to continue the original plan. Everyone objected, thinking that he was treating the team members as ATMs. And my registration fee was the most expensive in the team. Everyone only paid two million rupiahs, and I paid three million rupiahs. Two million rupiahs is the normal price. What's worse, if someone complained, the guide would scold the customer in Indonesian. Can you imagine that this is a guide hired by a travel agency! When I questioned it, the travel agency didn't respond at all, as if they couldn't see it. It was terrible!
