Colta - After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, the tour will proceed along the Pan-American highway to Riobamba. A stop will be made in Colta, a quaint town where the Spanish established Ecuador’s first city. Visitors will also see “Balbanera,” the first Catholic church built by the Spanish. Additionally, a visit to a local artisan crafting “Tagua crafts,” also known as natural ivory, is included.
Riobamba - Baños - Route of the Waterfalls
Baños - The drive from Riobamba to Baños will take the group through the Avenue of the Volcanoes. If the weather is favorable, the snow-capped peaks of Tungurugua, Altar, and Chimborazo, Ecuador’s highest mountain, will be visible.
Upon reaching Baños, the tour will visit the Tree House with its “End of the World” swing. The journey continues with a one-hour drive, featuring several stops along the “Route of the Waterfalls.” After a two-kilometer hike, the group will arrive at the “Pailon del Diablo” waterfall, one of Ecuador’s ten largest waterfalls.
