A must-do in Innsbruck - Beautiful castle with incredible collection of weapons and armor. The “ Wonder Room” was very varied and contained a wealth of beautiful unique curiosities.

Renaissance castle - You can get here in less than 20 minutes by bus. The castle consists of two parts: below there is a very impressive exhibition not only with armour, but also many of what has come to Austria through cultural contacts from other corners of the world. In the upper part, two floors are closed for renovation. Here are interesting examples of home decor, such as the bathroom and the stateroom. Nice park!

Don't leave Innsbruck without seein this! - One of the coolest things you'll see in Tyrol. The exhibit ranges from methodical collection of knightly armor to an absolutely eclectic gathering of "all that's cool" circa 1600s. The collection is fifficult to describe. Think of if it this way: it's 17th century and you have to make a gift for a man that literally has everything; what would it be? You really want to know? (Go and find out.)

Beautiful and interesting - Ambras Castle is the most important and famous castle in Innsbruck. The best way to get there is by bus, which departs from Innsbruck Railway Station and has a stop named after the castle (by car you have to pay a ticket for the parking). The castle has a big collection of armours and swords as well as many curious objects and paintings the King used to entertain his guests with. Don't miss the exposition of glass handcrafts too! Fun fact: in the gardens there are peacocks.

Paper tickets highly preferred. - The castle is very nice and the museum is extensive. There are many trails to walk in the forest; small waterfalls, etc. The only negative was that TripAdvisor told me after I had booked the excursion that I needed to print my ticket. This was not possible since tickets were purchased the night prior. They fussed about it at the gate, but did let us in.

Nice. - Beautiful especially the route inside the castle with themed rooms. Some rooms upstairs were not open for lack of heating. Beautiful and wide park. Comfortable and detailed audio guide.

Average site - Lots of armor and weapons. Many rooms with just portraits. The grounds outside the buildings were nice to sit .

Take a look - Entrance is paid. However, you can walk around it without entering. There wasn't much inside either. A few exhibitions of items from the Middle Ages and a souvenir shop. Those who are interested in such things can come in and take a look.

Moderate - Ample parking space. On arrival it is not very clear where to start. Inside it is freezing but really freezing cold. Even with winter coat. Wherever you walk in, you are followed by staff and they are watching you extremely closely. Interesting slot but not worth 5 stars.
