From Innsbruck city to the mountains over 2000m easily - The winter mountains over 2000m are easily accessible from Innsbruck city centre. The steep mountains from the top and the cityscape are stunning.

Perfect for a solo trip - Worth every euro! Gigantic atmosphere at the summit. Super easy to do on your own. I wouldn't go up with toddlers because there are a lot of steep rocks up there. Definitely wrap warm, it is very cold and windy on top in October. Good mountain equipment and mountain boots are an advantage 😊 And then you don’t look quite so much like a tourist 😃

Top of Innsbruck - Drastic temp drop at the top so be prepared. It was absolutely beautiful looking out and across to the town.

Spectacular view of Innsbruck and the Austrian Alps - This truly is the top of Innsbruck. The view is breathtaking. The trip to the top of the mountain is well worth the very reasonable price of the ticket. I highly recommend it.

To the top - Recension: Nordkette Innsbruck – A magical experience on the roof of the Alps
Nordkette, just outside Innsbruck, is one of the most impressive mountain ranges in the Alps. For nature and adventure lovers, this is a must-see. Already on the way up on the modern funicular from Innsbruck, you can enjoy incredible views of the city and the surrounding mountains. At the top of Hafelekar, 2,334 meters above sea level, a 360-degree panorama of both city and mountain massif spreads out.
Nordkette offers something for everyone – from skiing in winter to hiking and mountain biking in summer. The easy access makes it possible to quickly get from the city centre to the Alpine peak, making it a must for anyone visiting Innsbruck.
For the adventurous there are adrenaline-filled activities, such as steep ski slopes and climbing trails. For those seeking peace, the Alpine restaurants offer local delicacies and a relaxed atmosphere.
In conclusion, Nordkette is an unforgettable destination, whether you are looking for adventure or peaceful nature. A visit here gives you a taste of the magic of the Alps, with breathtaking views and authentic Alpine culture.

Excellent experience. - Super view from the top good day out. Cable car was exhilarating and cafes offered snacks at a fair price. A bit of walking to get to the top, but worth it.

Top of the World - The whole experience was wonderful because it was not just about a cable car. There were three different phases to the trip up and down. Once you got to the pinnacle, there were not only the spectacular views, but a major piece of history that I was not expecting. Up until WWII there was ground-breaking research being conducted that led to the identification of cosmic radiation. The work ended when the lead director, Dr. Hess, was fired along with other Jewish researchers. The original sensors and equipment were still in place. Now, there are sheep being herded, incredible vistas, and history at the top. My only issue with the experience was the jam-packed crowding of the cars on the way up. It is a very popular place.

Brilliant Alpine Views and a Fun Ride Up - This is the easiest way you will ever find to climb to the top of one of the Austrian Alps. A funicular train and two cable cars take you from Innsbruck to the top in less than 30 minutes.
We went early in the morning in the heat of summer and after storms the night before this meant the first cable car went through the remaining clouds. We could see the clouds across the rest of the valley had already burned off and this mean we enjoyed two different t views on our trip - one of the mountains peering out above the clouds and one of the whole valley below when they cleared.
The views at each stop on the way up are amazing and offer different perspectives on Innsbruck and its surrounds. It is worth stopping a short while on the way up or down to take them in as you can see things you miss elsewhere.
After the first cable car, there is a great little playground for the kids to enjoy, swinging and sliding high in the sky.
At the very top, the short walk to the Innsbruck Viewpoint is worth it, along with the viewpoint in the opposite direction along the way. It might not be for those with a fear of heights, but the walk is gentle and not exerting and provides a wonderful reward.
A great way to spend a few hours up above Innsbruck.

A must do - A Must do. Make sure to go all the way to the top and go over the look at the view on the other side. Amazing. Loved how you can grab a beer and food at the top and sit and enjoy the view.

Don't do it. Do Zugspitze or the Stubia Glacier instead - The directions given through the website were completely useless and we were not able to find the starting point. We were sent up the mountain on a less than gravel rock road that was steep and we decided it was too dangerous to continue.
