In this class, participants will not only learn the art of beautiful writing but also experience the joy of creating a handcrafted seal. Using a carving tool, they can design their name on a small stone. This activity offers a therapeutic experience through the tactile and analog pleasures of everyday life.
First, two engraving techniques will be demonstrated, along with the proper use of a carving knife. Then, guidance will be provided on designing names according to their syllables. Participants will then apply ink in the Korean style and make a stamp. After the engraving is complete, they can select an elegant case for their stone seal. Upon returning home, they will cherish the stamp they created and the memories of their journey. A personalized message in K-calligraphy will be written on a postcard, featuring their stamped seal.
