Here, participants can purchase suncream, water, soft drinks, and sunglasses if needed. - Aare River - The initial segment of the tour takes us out of Interlaken’s city center, following the turquoise Aare River for about 30 minutes. The path is a flat cycle route through a wooded area alongside the river, where we might see a passenger boat heading to the lake.
- Thunersee - Our journey leads us to Lake Thun, where the Aare River and the boat canal converge. In the distance, the stunning Niesen mountain is visible. This is a perfect spot to capture photos of this breathtaking location.
- Ruine Weissenau - The Weissenau ruins are remnants of a medieval low castle. Constructed in the 13th century, the castle and its harbor served as an imperial stronghold to secure and control the movement of goods over the Alpine passes.
- Interlaken - We will cycle back towards Interlaken through farmland, offering impressive 360-degree views of the surrounding valley, including the Harder mountain and the mountain village of Beatenburg.
- Unterseen - Our bike ride takes us to Unterseen Old Town, named Stadthausplatz after the historic town house at the center of the square. Since its founding in 1279, the town house has been the focal point of public life. The first tourists to the Bernese Oberland stayed here.
- Lake Brienz - We will cycle to Bonigen on Lake Brienz. Here, participants can relax with the tour group by the lakeside and take a refreshing dip in the cool lake water! For those wishing to enjoy the sunshine longer, discounted bike rentals are available, allowing you to return the bike at your convenience.
- Aare River - The tour concludes with a ride through a traditional BIO farm and back along the Aare River towards Interlaken and the Yellow Velo shop. Souvenir t-shirts and bags are available for purchase to commemorate your trip.
