Busy? Yes. Spectacular? Yes. Just don't expect 21st Century luxury - Firstly, make sure you pre-book otherwise the lines will eat you alive! Second, arrive early otherwise the lines will eat you alive! We arrived approx. 10:30/11 and the lines weren't that long. The carriages are a bit cramped but its a railway built 200 years ago so it's not going to be 21st-century luxury. Once at the top there is a 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful views. Restaurant is expensive but they have to lug everything up there - probably on the funicular - so it will be! The walkway is spectacular and you will get amazing views. You'll have to wait your turn to get to the amazing stops and be careful of the tourists getting long-distance selfies by their friends on the cliff. In summary, as long as you accept that its a touristy place and you may need to queue, you'll love it

Worth it! - Amazing panoramic view. Different walks available once you reach the top. Restaurant is available up there as well. The only CON I can think of is the furnicular takes forever to come back. You have to wait for 30minutes and queues can get really bad. Not ideal if its too hot.

The view was worth it! - The view from the top was super cool. We also ate dinner there which was a nice experience. We had purchased tickets ahead of time but still had to wait about an hour for our turn to get to the top. I would still recommend it, just know that on a summer day you might have to wait a bit.

Lengthy queue but worth it for the views and restaurant. - Lengthy queue to begin with, but to find a very friendly lady in the ticket office. The funicular vehicle was quite crowded, but that didn’t last long thankfully. Little walk to the top to find a good restaurant where we had beers and savoured the view. Would recommend.

Very nice view of the area. You just have to be prepared to feel foreign in your own country. - Children with a SBB Junior subscription pay nothing. No QR code if you buy tickets online. Swiss Passes must be presented at the turnstile to the employee on site.

Tourist Trap - While the views are beautiful, the funicular ride is horrible. If you suffer from claustrophobia, don't bother. The funicular is standing only (save for a very few seats), packed with people, dark, hot and unventilated. Once at the top, it is very crowded with tourists with selfie sticks. There are other, less crowded, beautiful views in Switzerland. This place is a tourist trap. Would not recommend.

Funicular service unsuitable. Better on foot? - Disappointing organization. Magnificent view but not worth considering the waiting times. The funicular only goes up/down every 30 minutes and has 64 seats, not enough service given the high influx of tourists in summer. wait in line of about 1 hour both outward and return.

Not what I expected - I was hoping buying these tickets ahead of time and paying an extra $6 would allow us to move to the front of the line to board the cogwheel train. But this was not the case. It’s not worth buying the tickets ahead of time because you can purchase them the day of from their automated machine for $44/per person as opposed to paying $50/per person through this viator tour. You still have to wait in the long line even if you buy them ahead of time. Also, the tour operators are not proactive about providing a meeting point. You have to call them or email them to get the address. The views are definitely great up top and the restaurant was good.

Not worth it . Tourists are destroying this place. - Top Many tourists and very expensive for what it is , not worth it at all . Crowded . Impossible to watch the view because people are spending their time to take pic of themselves and are blocking the view. It’s a shame . It should cost at least twice less the price. Very desapointing. The place is a victims of the social medias. Rules should be made to limit people and stopping them to take Pics everywhere .
