The Vikos - Aoos UNESCO Global Geopark can be found in the Epirus district, Ioannina, situated in northwest Greece. It’s landscapes are adorned with breathtaking gorges, towering rocks, rivers, arched stone bridges and classic architecture. The Global Geopark falls within the administrative lines of the Konitsa and Zagori regions, housing 62 small towns or settlements. The park is also known for its traditional habitats and long-standing monuments from the 14th to 19th centuries, including convents, educational institutions, churches, chapels and stone bridges.
