Connection with our Christian roots - What a wonderful experience it was to be in Ephesus! To trace our Christian roots was very meaningful for us. To stand where Apostle Paul stood!! Our pleasant guide, Nesrin, shared so much interesting information which brought an understanding of the world back then. Her knowledge shared with us was so enlightening. It was notable that the people back then were smart to make a city and their economy work so well. That they had a public library was impressive so all could read made us smile, The Terrace of Houses was an extra which made our tour amazing. We agreed that we all could easily have enjoyed living in this valley. :) Added to this, the Carpet Coop. we visited where we saw local women at work weaving, made us gasp at the colour Heaven ( as Nesrin so rightly put it) The skill involved and finished products were a feast for the eyes. Having a Turkish pancake in a high spot of a Village, while looking down on a picturesque valley, added an authentic touch to the tour. All the arrangements were slick and the ride was comfortable. Thumbs up to our private guide and the Phoenicia Travel team.
