Join us for a memorable journey through the enchanting Kjarnaskógur forest, marvel at the stunning views of Akureyri, and pedal through the historic streets of downtown. Immerse yourself in the rich stories of the old town as our knowledgeable guide leads the way.
Before heading off we will go over some safety rules and how to operate the e-bikes. It is an off road trip with some hills and muddy road. Because of the e-bikes you can choose the difficult level.
After the tour you can enjoy the amazing Forest Lagoon. which is included.
- Kjarnaskógur - South of Akureyri is one of the towns most popular outdoor area - the woodland Kjarnaskógur. The recreational area is approx 800 hectars with more than 1.5 million trees, of many species planted within the last 50 years.
- Akureyri - The old town of Akureyri brings you back to the beginning of the town. The area is located just a short stroll from town centre, towards the south.
The area is a monument to the town‘s history and culture. Many of the town oldest houses have been preserved and the original street planning has been maintained. Informative signposts guide visitors about the history of a different era. On this walk, you see the old Theatre, the old Primary School and the Old Hospital built in 1827, the first
two-storied house built in Iceland and the oldest building in Akureyri, Laxdalshús, built in 1795.

The tour begins at the Forest Lagoon. From there, we will venture into Eyjafjordur on an old track, leading to the enchanting Kjarnaskógur forest. Here, you can enjoy the forest and its adventurous trails.
Next, we will head to Akureyri and pedal through the historic streets of downtown. Immerse yourself in the rich stories of the old town as our knowledgeable guide leads the way.
Before we set off, we will review some safety rules and how to operate the e-bikes. The trip includes some off-road sections with hills and tracks, but don’t worry—our e-bikes allow you to choose your difficulty level.
