The Icelandic Horse is a globally unique breed that is characterized by its five distinct gaits: Walk, trot, gallop, tölt and pace. Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian or a true connoisseur, we invite you to experience the magic of our extraordinary horses!

Under the tutelage of a seasoned riding instructor, you’ll be introduced to the exceptional world of horse riding. By riding 2-3 different horses you will be able to discern the distinct abilities of the five-gaited Icelandic Horse.

Our program is conducted at the Vindheimamelar show grounds and the surrounding areas, offering a fruitful combination of hands-on learning and rides in diverse settings.

We request you to provide detailed information about your prior riding experience. This will facilitate us in selecting the most compatible horses for you. You can provide these details at the time of check out.

Meeting is 30 minutes before departure. In Varmahlíð, you turn off Ringroad no.1 onto road no. 752. When you are on road no. 752, our office is the first building on the left (150 m from the junction). It’s a white and blue painted building. The GPS coordinates are: N 65°32,744′ W 19°26,338′.
