• Isinya - This is the first town along the way outside of the Nairobi Metropolitan area and is predominantly Inhabited by the maasai people. Travelers get to see the vast plains of Kajiado, hills and the extensive vegetation. They also get to see herds of animals e.g. goats, donkeys and cows. Like any town in Kenya, all forms of economic activities are seen here.
• Bisil - If you happen to make this tour on a market day(Monday or Friday), then you get to see firsthand the booming livestock market full of animals for sale. Maasai beadwork, herbs and attires are also traded. In the midst of the beautiful chaos, you will always find souvenirs as you interact with the unique Maasai culture.
• Bisil - Maasai village experience: Get to learn Maasai words, learn beadwork, milk a goat, get into a manyatta and cook some basic meal,dance and sing with the village members.
• Kajiado - View and take photos of the beautiful landscape of Kajiado. Spot some Maasai headers with their animals on the move looking for pasture. See women carrying firewood on their back.
• Kitengela - We stop at Kitengela Mall for clients to either use the bathroom or buy some snacks/tea/coffee/lunch or stop at an ATM.
• Ilbisil - We pass through the local primary school to see the activities of the school and drop some donations.

Visitors may have encountered the Maasai people during safaris, but often these interactions are staged for tourists who arrive hourly. To truly experience the culture of any Kenyan tribe, one must venture beyond the typical tourist paths.

This village is exclusively for Happy Tribe, and ultimately, visitors can determine the authenticity of their experience. This is more than just a tour; it is an immersive experience where participants engage in daily Maasai activities. From cooking ugali in a manyatta, creating beadwork, lighting a fire using traditional methods, milking a goat, to dancing, singing, and jumping with the Maasai, visitors can partake in it all.

During this tour, guests are encouraged to inquire about the exploitation of vulnerable communities by tour companies. Happy Tribe may be the only company that compensates the Maasai individuals directly, ensuring that even a man’s earnings are separate from his wife’s. Payments are made via Mpesa to each person present.

• Kindly wear closed shoes and dress decently/Modest preferable in pants for all genders. Kindly cover-up.
• We allow donations - clothes, school supplies, kids toys, teaching aids, food items(cooking oil, maize flour, dry grains etc.), and any other items helpful to a needy community.
• Carry money incase of donation or purchase of souvenirs.
• Be flexible with time especially when in a group though we try to be back at Nairobi before 4p.m. Traffic and bathroom/coffee/lunch breaks affect our timing.
• Professional CAMERAS or commercial photography is NOT allowed.
• We inform you on pickup details on the previous night before the tour.
• There is no bathroom at the village. We make 2 bathroom stops along the way.
• The drive is about 2.5 hours one way.
