Isla Negra Visit - The house was amazing and Romina, our guide, was one of the best we have had anywhere in the world. She was the perfect combination of knowledgeable and personable and added to the tour with a visit to the location of Neruda's Dream. The stop in Pomaire for lunch was also memorable for the variety and quality of the food that was presented. All-in-all, a wonderful experience.

Two Fascinating Places to See - If you can only do one day trip from Santiago, chose this one over the Valparaiso and Vina del Mar one which was a big disappointment. The Neruda House is like nothing you could ever imagine and Pomaire is the ultimate place to buy local Chilean handicrafts.

Driver exactly on time. Chatted... -
Driver exactly on time. Chatted about the history of the area along the way which was very informative. We stopped for a comfort stop on the way and were able to purchase drinks and food if wanted. The visit to the home of Pablo Neruda was wonderful - so much more than what we were expecting. A man of many interests and the home was so well cared for. We visited every avenue of the home only place off limits was the kitchen - just loved his interest in so many things, and with the aid of hearing aids were given the whole history in English. insufficient time for shopping. A few managed to purchase one of his poem books, but they ran out. Disappointing as Pablo was a great writer. We then went on to Pomaire Village where the area was covered in craft shops of many kinds with eating at a village restaurant - which was desperately slow, there was very little time to spend browsing/shopping. Would I recommend this trip - yes indeed.

Great tour - A little long, but that's to be expected given the distances involved. Nureda's house/museum was amazing. Wasn't expecting much from our stop at Pomaire, but ended up making 2 purchases and if we had room, would probably have bought more.
