Wildlife Upper Loop Tour with Lunch

Yellowstone National Park - America’s first National Park - Our Adventure Guides will talk about the history, ecology, geology and much more as we travel throughout Yellowstone.

Lamar Valley - For our wildlife tour, we spend the better part of the tour scanning the Serengeti of Yellowstone for grizzly and black bear, wolves, coyotes, eagles, badgers, bison, elk, pronghorn, moose, and many other animals. We provide spotting scopes and binoculars to assist with viewing and our trained adventure guide will be your personal guide as we identity the flora and fauna of Yellowstone.

Lower Loop Geothermal Adventure with Lunch

Yellowstone National Park - America’s first National Park - Celebrating her 150th birthday!

Firehole Canyon Drive - Firehole Canyon Drive is a 2-mile, one-way road off the Grand Loop south of Madison. The drive has a waterfall overlook and swimming area.

Lower Geyser Basin - Along Fountain Paint Pot Trail you will see various hydrothermal features that are expressions of Yellowstone’s still active volcano. Within this geologic system, each type of thermal feature is represented. They can be grouped into two general categories—those with a great deal of water (hot springs and geysers) and those with limited water (mudpots and fumaroles). Despite their structural similarities, no two features are exactly alike.

Midway Geyser Basin - Grand Prismatic Spring is located in the Midway Geyser Basin. It has the distinction of being the park’s largest hot spring. It measures approximately 370 feet (112.8 m) in diameter and is over 121 feet (37 m ) deep. A description of this spring by fur trapper Osborne Russell in 1839 also makes it the earliest described thermal feature in Yellowstone that is definitely identifiable.

Upper Geyser Basin - Old Faithful is located in Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin in the southwest section of the park. The geyser-viewing area is the most accessible and visitor-friendly in the park with bench seating, a large parking lot, and a ranger station that tracks the time, height and length of an eruption to predict the next eruption.

Yellowstone Lake - Situated at 7,733 feet (2,357 m) above sea level, Yellowstone Lake is the largest high elevation lake (above 7,000 feet / 2,134 m) in North America. It is roughly 20 miles (32.2 km) long and 14 miles (22.5 km) wide, with 141 miles (227 km) of shoreline and a surface area of 132 square miles (342 km2). Yellowstone Lake freezes over completely every winter in late December or early January, with ice thicknesses varying from a few inches to more than two feet. The lake usually thaws in late May or early June. Yellowstone Lake remains cold year-round, with an average water temperature of 41°F (5°C). Because of the extremely cold water, swimming is not recommended. Survival time is estimated to be only 20 to 30 minutes in water at this temperature.

Yellowstone Geysers - Mud Volcano Area - Yellowstone itself is a volcano, and one of its most spectacular eruptions occurred 640,000 years ago. During the eruption, the land collapsed and left a large depression in the earth—the Yellowstone Caldera. This caldera filled with lava flows over hundreds and thousands of years creating the volcanic plateau that comprises much of the central part of the park.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone - The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River expresses the park’s complex geologic history in dramatic colors and shapes. Puffs of steam mark hydrothermal features in the canyon’s walls. The Upper and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River add to the grandeur of the unique natural treasure.

Norris Geyser Basin - Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest and most changeable thermal area in Yellowstone. We will explore many of the features you would see if you walked the 2 1/4 miles (3.6 km) of trails. Discover the location of the world’s tallest active geyser, colorful hot springs, and microscopic life in one of the most extreme environments on earth.

Gibbon Falls - Gibbon Falls drops 84 feet (0.3 m) over a remnant of the Yellowstone caldera rim. The caldera was created by a massive volcanic eruption approximately 640,000 years ago.

What a great thorough tour! - Jackson was so passionate about his job. So full of information and really great to talk to. He knew a lot and shared very thorough information with us. Brian led us the 2nd day and had an eye for the animals. He also had a great scope and picture set up. Saw a lot of bears and bison and others.

I was traveling with my... - I was traveling with my parents and wanted to make them have the full Yellowstone experience while making it extremely comfortable and flexible to their needs. This tour did an excellent job giving me just that. On Day 1, we got to see so many different animals in Lamar Valley. Our guide Jack was super knowledgeable about all the animals in the area and was incredibly good at spotting them from very far away. We got to witness bison, wolves, mountain goats, black bears (from up close), grizzly bears (a mating couple and a mother and child), and lots of interesting birds. They had this cool telescope thing which let us witness the grizzlies from very far away. Day 2, our guide Jackson took us through all the major landmarks in the south loop. We got check out multiple hot springs, geysers, mudpits, waterfalls, and other vistas. Jackson did a great job navigating us through the crowds and making sure we went to the best locations and got the best views. Highly recommend!

Spectacular!! - I just got back from the joy of taking the two full day tour of Yellowstone. I am still on a high. The guides provided a knowledgeable insight for a full day with people that love Yellowstone and it glorious inhabitants and wonders. The imparted their enthusiasm of the natural wonders, the wild life and the history. This is definitely NOT your pre-recorded, follow the map get on and off the bus day. It is full of adventure and taking advantage of what Yellowstone shows of itself, taking advantage of the unexpected views of wild life and the environment. Their knowledge and good nature make the time fly by. I know I am beginning to sound like a "shill" but I have written reviews and given my opinions for many years. A check of my past reviews will show that "I call em like I see them". All of the guides are very capable. My personal feeling is that I would insist on Jack and/or Jackson to the extent of even moving the tour dates to get them. PS Jackson also has a major love for fly fishing (with photos to establish his "creds". However, Jack is not impressed with the hype and says he is the fisherman. (You may want to take two days and find out for your self)

2-Day Private Yellowstone Tour - Kudos to Isaac and Jackson for providing our group with a fantastic two-day, private tour of Yellowstone. We saw so much, including the wolves of LaMar Valley, a personal bucket list sighting. Both guides were super-enthusiastic, had an obvious appreciation for the uniqueness of the park, and knew how to see as much as possible in two days. So many great stories, we all learned so much! Thank you to Tauni and to Casanova Tours for giving us this memorable (and efficient) experience.

Lifetime of memories - Our family of 10 had an amazing time on our two day tour. Jackson was such a great guide, he was filled with knowledge and taught us so much about Yellowstone. We were able to see wolves, a grizzly, and many other animals. It was well worth it, we would have never seen the things we did, if we did it on our own.

EXCEPTIONAL Tour Company - THE BEST GUIDES . Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and FUN! - There are not enough words to express how impressed we were with Casanova Guided Tours. We were a group of 19 - 11 kids / 8 adults. We spent two days with the most incredible guides - Jackson, Kyle and Jack! They were BEYOND knowledgeable about the wild life, plant life and the park overall. We all learned a tremendous amount over the course of the two days. Our guides knew where to look for the best wildlife -we were able to see two wolves feasting on an elk - which sounds a little gross but to see the wolves in their natural habitat living free was incredible. We also saw bears, grizzlies, goats, elk, and of course Bison. Not IF but WHEN we go back we will 110% schedule another tour with Casanova!! Well Done - Our group could not be happier. Thank you Jackson - "Other Ken".....
