Flight to Cappadocia

Istanbul - Guests will be picked up from their Istanbul hotel and transferred to the airport for an afternoon flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, staff will welcome guests at the terminal exit and transfer them to their hotel.

Cappadocia - After the airport transfer, guests will check into their hotel. The afternoon or evening is free for leisure in Cappadocia, with various activities available for those interested.

Uchisar Castle - The guide will collect guests from their hotel to begin the day tour. The first stop is the stunning viewpoint of Uchisar Castle, where guests will learn about Cappadocia’s rich history and unique rock formations.

Goreme Open-Air Museum - The second stop is the Goreme Open-Air Museum, one of the earliest monasteries in Christian history. This rock-cut settlement, which provided education to spread Christianity, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1985, featuring frescoed churches and rock dwellings.

Avanos - Avanos is among the oldest settlements in Cappadocia. The art of pottery, which began during the Hittite period, continues today with numerous workshops. This visit includes lunch and a brief tour along the Kızılırmak (Red River).

Fairy Chimneys - Cappadocia is renowned for its distinctive landforms. Pasabag is the prime location to witness these formations and the harmony between humans and nature. Known as Monks Valley, visitors can see the famous mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys and St. Simeon’s monk cell carved into the rock.

Devrent Valley - Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, is perfect for capturing fantastic photos of animal-shaped rock formations.

Cappadocia - Weaving is a significant aspect of Turkish culture, a tradition from Central Asia that continues in Cappadocia. A brief visit to a cooperative where world-famous Turkish carpets are made will reveal the intricacies of this ancient art.

Goreme Panorama - Goreme, a village in central Cappadocia, has become a popular destination with its rock-carved hotels. The Goreme panorama offers views of this charming village.

Red Valley - Red Valley is notable for its striking red color in the heart of Cappadocia. The valley is ideal for walking, with a 4 km hiking route. During the hike, visitors will see fairy chimneys, local farms, pigeon houses, and cave chapels. The walk concludes at Cavusin Old Greek Village, where the different color layers from ancient volcanic eruptions are visible.

Love Valley - Love Valley is one of Cappadocia’s most famous and photographed areas, known for its unique earth shapes, resembling a natural photography studio.

Goreme - A short visit to Goreme village includes a lunch break, time for photos, and a brief walk.

Kaymakli Underground City - Cappadocia is famous for its underground cities, with over 100 in the region. These architectural wonders, built since the Hittite era, provided shelter and sustenance. Early Christians used them to hide from Arab invasions. Kaymakli is the largest and most visited underground city, offering a glimpse into the stone age.

Pigeon Valley - Pigeons have been vital to Cappadocia, second only to horses. This iconic area showcases how locals used pigeons for agriculture and church decoration. Pigeon eggs were crucial for creating lasting frescoes, leading to a shared life between humans and pigeons. Large rock-carved pigeon houses were built, and although fresco artists are no longer present, this shared life continues.

Cappadocia - At the tour’s conclusion, guests will be transferred to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for their flight to Istanbul. The flight tickets from Cappadocia to Istanbul are included in the tour price. Return airport transfer in Istanbul is not included but can be arranged upon request.

However, if you are still planning to come to Cappadocia just to join a balloon flight, we recommend that you consider that the balloon flight may be cancelled.
