Istanbul (Arrival) Bursa

Istanbul - Upon arrival at Istanbul International Airport, a local representative will greet you and take you on a sightseeing tour of Istanbul’s “Old City.” We’ll explore the Hippodrome of Constantinople, once the site of horse and chariot races. Next, we’ll visit the Blue Mosque, renowned for its blue tiles, followed by a tour of the Topkapi Palace. After lunch, we’ll embark on a 3-hour drive (via sea road by ferry) to Bursa. Overnight stay in Bursa.

Bursa - Kusadasi

Bursa - After breakfast at the hotel, the tour begins with a visit to the Green Mosque and Green Tomb, followed by a visit to The Grand Mosque, a prime example of Ottoman architecture from the transition period. The mosque features an interior fountain and a beautiful wooden pulpit, making it a classic. We’ll also visit the famous Silk Market before heading to Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight stay in Kusadasi.

Kusadasi - Ephesus - Pamukkale

Kusadasi - After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll proceed to Ephesus. Here, we’ll see one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of Antiquity), and the Basilica of St. John from a distance. After lunch in Selcuk, we’ll visit a local leather production center, where a live fashion show will be followed by shopping time. We’ll then drive for about 3 hours to Pamukkale. In Pamukkale, we’ll visit the Antique City of Hieropolis and see the stunning travertine terraces and basins, also known as the Cotton Castle. You’ll have free time to walk on the terraces before visiting the ruins of Ancient Hierapolis. Overnight stay in Pamukkale.

Pamukkale - Konya- Cappadocia

Konya - After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll drive for about 5 hours to Konya, the capital of the Anatolian Seljuk Empire. We’ll visit the Mevlana Museum and enjoy lunch in Konya. Then, we’ll drive for about 2.5 hours to Cappadocia, stopping at the Caravansaray (Sultanhani Caravanserai) on the Silk Road between Aksaray and Konya, built in 1299 by Sultan Alaeddin. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Cappadocia

Cappadocia - After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll start with a visit to the incredible Underground City, where early Christians lived in secret to survive and maintain their faith. We’ll then stop for photos at Uchisar Citadel, Pigeon Valley, and Valley of Birds. After lunch, we’ll visit a famous local pottery workshop, followed by a tour of Pasabag Valley, known for its unique volcanic formations. You’ll also see the Fairy Chimneys, where the sound of the wind mixes with the “songs of fairies.” We’ll stop by a local carpet weaving cooperative to see hand-made Turkish carpets. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Cappadocia - Ankara - Bolu

Ankara - After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll drive for about 4 hours to Ankara, with a photo stop at Salt Lake along the way. After lunch, we’ll visit the Ataturk Mausoleum, the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey. The mausoleum’s architecture is a blend of styles representing various Anatolian civilizations. We’ll then transfer to Bolu for an overnight stay.

Bolu - Istanbul

Istanbul - After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll drive for about 4 hours back to Istanbul. Your guide will take you to see the best parts of the city, including the Bosphorus, which separates Europe and Asia. You’ll see Dolmabahce Palace, Ciragan Palace, Ortakoy, the Bosphorus Bridge, and various houses and kiosks from a boat. After lunch, we’ll visit the Hagia Sophia Museum, which was the largest church in the world during the Roman Empire in the 6th century. Finally, we’ll visit the famous Grand Bazaar for shopping. One of the largest covered markets in the world, it has 60 streets and 5,000 shops, attracting between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily.
