Basilica cistern - Very nice, lots of history....will visit again on my next trip to Istanbul. Very impressed by the Medusa story. Beautiful experience on a very hot day.

Excellent historical place to visit - Basilica Cistern is a good historical place. Ticket lines there are long so it is good to get them online. Audioguide is sufficient; you don't need an in-person guide.

Wonderful - The Basilica Cistern was amazing the audio failed to work which was disappointing but not a show stopper!
Recommend to pre-purchase tickets as gave advantage of walking straight through and not queuing.
Differently worth a trip.

Unnecessary and poor communication - Unnecessary service. The provider had to be contacted several times and only sent the tickets via WhatsApp one hour before the entry time. You could have just bought the tickets at the entrance as the line was very short (max 5 minutes)

With Viator , a headache - The Basillica cistern was amazing and beautiful 🩷, the ticketing system was a nightmare , it took us almost an hour and many calls to get our ticket honoured .. Viator you should do better

Tickets were not delivered online - The ticket purchased from TripAdvisor created a lot of trouble. QR codes necessary to get in was never received and it took me about an hour to find someone around the Cistern to get a printed QR code. And I considered myself lucky that I found the person in charge as he reluctantly gave me our tickets. QR codes were supposed to be sent to my email and they never sent them.

Viator never more. - I had to complain the horrible service I received by Viator. I bought two tickets to visit the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul. Immediately I received the tickets, but they said that I would receive the entry tickets the day before the visit. I tried many times to download the tickets with no success. I also tried to contact Viator with the same result. For this shameful service I also payd and now I want to be reiboursed.

Bad instructions led to missed tour - Small print instructions led to getting to the front of the skip the line line and being told I needed a voucher to be collected several blocks away. We missed our tour because of that. Trying to get a refund.

Don’t use this service, waste of time and money - I bought two tickets with the audio guide. They sent us from the pillar to the post. Their Rep at the exit door tried the app and code but didn’t work, misled us by saying to go to the reception at the Basilica and get help from them. We did and they said: “we can’t help because you didn’t buy the tickets from us you need a QR code”. We had no choice but to get on our visit. Their agent says to contact Aviator!!
