With a guide it's practical - Good morning, My visit to Istanbul was full of surprises, especially thanks to the excellent guide, Sevil. She knew how to make this day both intense and practical, leading the way for us in style. Despite the intense walking (which was a workout in itself!), the experience was as rewarding as my calves are now toned. We discovered Istanbul from an exceptional angle during the cruise, with a panoramic view of the ports, the historic buildings, and above all, the bridges that connect Europe to Asia. Our steps guided us to must-see places such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, the Topkapi Palace, one of the Basilica Cisterns, the Spice Market, and the Turkish Market. A little anecdote to brighten up the story: during my hasty reservation, I landed in a hotel near the Galata Bridge thinking that it was next to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. Well, the mistake turned out to be the best, because I ended up missing out on everything! 😄 Thanks again, Sevil. It was an unforgettable day.

Excellent and intense day - Excellent day in the Istanbul old town, visiting Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Hagia Irini, Grand bazaar and Soliman the Magnificent mosque. Our guide managed to alternate between French and English (as per our request, our daughter preferring English) in a superb way - sharing his knowledge, insights and experience openly and generously while putting it in the wider historical context. Highly recommended.
