Dervish performance worth the time and money - Well organized and delivered a great experience - exactly what we were hoping for. Not only was the performance excellent the interpretive display in the waiting area helped us to understand the history of the religious ritual.

Amazing Experience - I knew little about the Whirling Dervishes before attending this religious ceremony. You are asked to arrive early and that gives you the time to look around the exhibition and learn of the history of what was to follow. Latecomers are allowed in up to 10 minutes after the start of the programme. Once called into the hall, you take your pre-allocated seats (the earlier you book, the better the seat) and watch a short video about the ceremony prior to the arrival of the participants when you first hear music and song. After about 10 minutes, the Dervishes begin their ritual which lasts for around 45 minutes and the beauty and mystique of their movements cannot be described in words - this is something you have to see and admire for yourself. You can also only wonder how they maintain balance when twirling around their left foot whilst simultaneously moving around the floor in a circle for that length of time. Out of respect for what is a religious ceremony, applause and photography is not allowed during it, but you can see images and short videos on the Hodjapasha website.  Go and see the live ceremony, though - you'll not regret it.

Surprising, but beautiful - It is a surprising religious ceremony, which gives the effect of being a voyeuristic spectator; but it is beautiful to watch
