Surprising, but beautiful - It is a surprising religious ceremony, which gives the effect of being a voyeuristic spectator; but it is beautiful to watch

Sad we could not capture the experience - It was nice to see this emotional religious ceremony. The one and only disappointment was we were not allowed to take any photos of videos That was a bummer

Ancient spirits moving - The intimate setting, authentic music with instruments and players just as it would have been in Konya to accompany this meditation in movement was spellbinding. The information to understand both at the time and in the information area was comprehensive and gave such a full experience. I can highly reccomend this ancient spiritual experience taking us out of the hustle and bustle of fabulous Istanbul

Mesmerizing - It was a very intense religious ceremony, which was paired with a beamer explanation to allow a proper follow up. Beautiful, mesmerizing and transcendental. The location, live music and singing transported us to a monastery. It was a very special experience!

It was great to watch this ceremony. Never seen it before. - The Hodjapasha Cultural Center in Istanbul was a wonderful performing arts center. The lobby area was like a mini museum filled with statues and boards with information sharing the history of performing arts in Turkey. The show we saw itself was a great watch. We never seen a Dervish Whirling Ceremony before so this was great to see. No photos or videos allowed inside though. - Nolan

Good, wholesome but pricey - Beautiful experience and felt very authentic There were slides projected on a wall that spoke about the dervishes The live singing and dancing made u very much a part of this spiritual ritual .. it was a bit pricey on my opinion and u don’t really get to see much of the historic building

Enchanting - The experience was calming and enchanting. There is a mini exhibit before you enter for the performance. I recommend arriving early to view the exhibit as it's very informative. The ceremony is a form of prayer, so do not attend wishing to be entertained. It is captivating and enlightening.

Originality - And very original and typical. But it's not an eating, drinking and taking photos program. You can't take a photo. It is a religious and cultural “cult”. I liked it but some may not like it, as was the case with my children.

Live music makes the dervish spin - Very long-winded but OK. Photography was forbidden. You can look at it, the problem was finding the place. The entry system is also chaotic.
