Embark on a full-day private tour from Athens to explore the historic highlights of the Peloponnese peninsula. Visit Ancient Corinth, Epidaurus, Mycenae, and the charming town of Nafplio in just one day.

Duration: 10 hours
Cancellation: 24 hours
Highlights
  • Corinth Canal - The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships.
From high up, you can enjoy the best view of Corinth’s isthmus and admire the steep limestone walls while you observe the vessels below you navigate their way through the canal.

Fabulous day trip - We were so very lucky to have George as our driver who was gracious and most helpful. His depth of knowledge and passion about culture, history, ancient sites, local towns and the region gave us a great insight and understanding. George made our trip - we had a great day!

Saw so many sights in just one day that would not have been possible if going solo - We loved our experience with myAthensTransfers and with our guide George. Normally, we might have rented a car to do a day trip. Given we did not have much time in Athens, and felt intimidated driving in Greece, we opted for this private tour. Absolutely loved the experience and now considering this for other trips. We saw way more than we'd seen if we had gone solo. George knew what was feasible with our timeline and was able to tweak the itinerary to fit our needs. We also appreciated all of George's knowledge and experience, both as a citizen and as a tour guide. Definitely recommend if visiting Greece

Comfortable - Nick, our driver was exactly on time, parked right outside our hotel. Nick drove us right up to the drop off point at each attraction, gave us tips on what to see. Nick also recommended a nice restaurant for lunch and also a place for the best gelato ever. Overall, a fantastic experience

Wonderful Tour - The driver/guide was very engaging and knowledgeable! It was so nice to return to a car with AC and cold water after each stop, esp. in 100 degree weather. It was a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Day Exploring the Peloponnese Peninsula - We had a wonderful day! Our driver/guide was Notis (I may have spelled that wrong) and he was a delight....as well as an excellent driver. Very knowledgeable about history as well as current affairs so we had lots of good conversation. When we went to the sights, he explained what we were seeing, and was ready afterward with any questions we had. We liked being able to explore on our own, at our own pace, according to our own interests. It was amazing to see the Corinth Canal, the palace at Mycenae, Agamemnon's Tomb, the amphitheater and spa/resort/hospital at Epidaurus, and the charming town of Nafplio.

Great day trip and worth the money! - -Spiros was the driver -very safe driver, very knowledgeable, very personable -we were able to customize our itinerary to what we wanted and adjust as needed when our cruise ship was delayed due to Greek port officials -each site involved lots of walking, mostly on rocky areas and with many angles/hills, so consider carefully if you have mobility issues -we went to the Corinth Canal, ancient Corinth, Acrocorinth, Mycenae, and Epidauros -Corinth Canal: nice, only needs a couple minutes -Ancient Corinth: amazing, huge excavated site, small but good museum -Acrocorinth: dramatic and gorgeous views because it is so high up, super steep the entire time, smooth and slippery rocks the whole way, it would take a couple of hours just to walk all the way up…with more time and no mobility challenges, it would be an amazing stop…it would be dangerously slippery in the rain -Mycenae was fantastic…great views, an amazingly excavated site, and a tiny but good museum. Very hilly. -Epidauros was another hugely excavated site, surrounded by lots of trees. The amphitheater was in excellent condition. -As a note on the sites (not this tour company), each site had a gift shop run by the Hellenic Heritage organization with the same tiny inventory. We were very underwhelmed with the options, which were mostly books, coffee cups, and a few other things—almost no traditional gift shop offerings.
