Athens - Corinth - Cave of Lakes Kalavryta - Journey with Cog Railway - Nauplio
Corinth Canal - The driver will pick up guests from their hotel at 9:00 AM, traveling along the mainland coast to Peloponnese. An hour later, the first stop will be at the Corinth Canal, which is 6 km long and 80m high.
The journey continues to the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and considered one of the finest ancient theatres globally.
A stop for lunch or coffee will be made in Nafplio, one of Greece’s most romantic seaside towns and the first capital of Modern Greece.
The tour proceeds to the archaeological site of Mycenae, an ancient city of significant power, featuring the famous “Gate of Lions” and “Atreus King Tomb.”
The first day concludes in the renowned town of Sparta for an overnight stay.
Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - The tour continues to Ancient Corinth, a city cherished by Saint Paul. Visitors will explore the Ancient Market and the Bema of Apostle Paul or Galionas, a prominent elevated rostrum in the center of the Roman Forum of ancient Corinth.
Diakofto - Next, the journey leads to “Diakofto” to board the Cog Railway (Odontotos), connecting Kalavrita with Diakopto through Vouraikos Canyon. This is one of Greece’s most beautiful natural sights and a spectacular railway ride, often described as the most beautiful train trip in the Balkans. The train travels through streams, narrow gorges, tunnels, waterfalls, cliffs, and forests of pine and oleander, ending in Kalavryta.
Kalavrita - The driver will meet guests in Kalavryta to continue the tour at the unique “Cave of the Lakes,” a rare natural wonder with 13 small and large lakes, each with different colors due to the oxides in the rocks. Visitors will see the “hanging bridge” and “waterfalls,” creating the sensation of a floating corridor, and admire unusual stalactite formations. In winter, the cave transforms into a subterranean river with natural waterfalls. Lunch will be enjoyed in the picturesque village of Kalavrita.
Nafplio - The day concludes in the romantic town of Nafplio for an overnight stay.
Nauplio - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Olympia
Nafplio - After breakfast, guests can visit Palamidi Castle, accessible by climbing 999 steps, or take a small boat to “Bourtzi,” the fortress at the harbor entrance.
The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus - The tour then heads to Epidaurus to visit the Ancient Theatre, famous for its breathtaking acoustics, still in use today.
Archaeological Museum of Ancient Mycenae - The ancient town of Mycenae and its archaeological site, including the Lion Gate, Cyclopean Walls, Royal Palace, and Agamemnon’s tomb, will be explored.
Olympia - The day ends in Ancient Olympia for an overnight stay.
Ancient Olympia – Little Train to Katakolon Village - Delphi
Archaeological Site of Olympia - After breakfast, the tour departs from Sparta, stopping briefly in the picturesque coastal town of Gythio, before arriving at Areopolis and Diros, known for its stunning subterranean caves, part of an underground river. About 5,000 meters are accessible by small boats through narrow passageways, surrounded by stalagmites and stalactites. These caves were worship sites in Paleolithic and Neolithic times, believed to be entrances to the underworld. A local museum visit is possible before continuing to the beautiful coastal villages of Stoupa and Kardamili for swimming or lunch.
The tour passes through Kalamata, arriving in Ancient Olympia for an overnight stay.
Katakolo - Guests will take a delightful 45-minute train journey from Olympia to Katakolon, a popular route among international visitors and Greek travelers. The scenic harbor of Katakolo, the main port of Pyrgos, is a charming tourist spot. The Museum of Ancient Greek Technology, with around 150 models of ancient mechanisms and inventions from 2000 BC to 100 AD, is a must-see. The port, surrounded by forested hills, is a favored stop for cruise ships touring the Mediterranean and Ionian Sea. Enjoy coffee by the sea!
The Venetian Castle of Nafpaktos - Leaving Katakolon, the tour crosses the impressive Rion – Antirion bridge, one of Europe’s largest, heading to Naupactus, a lovely seaside town. Visitors can explore the Venetian Castle and Port or enjoy lunch.
Delphi - The day concludes in Delphi for an overnight stay.

Delphi Archaeological Museum - After breakfast, the driver will take guests to the Ancient Oracle, Stadium, and Ancient Theatre, which seats over 5,000 spectators, and the Museum of Delphi. Delphi is renowned for the oracle at the Apollo sanctuary during the classical period.
Arachova - The tour continues to Arachova, Greece’s most vibrant winter destination, a mountainous village at 1000 meters altitude. Discover the village’s traditional charm with a coffee or lunch break, and try the famous Arachova formaela cheese in various forms.
