Highlights
  • Corinth Canal - The renowned Corinth Canal, also known as the Isthmus Canal, stretches 4 miles long, stands 80 meters high, and is 27 meters wide. King George initiated the excavations in 1886, and they were finally completed in 1996 after many wars in Greece. Paul passed through here because the canal existed as early as 2700 B.C., even before the excavations. The Romans used to transport boats by rolling them on logs. It’s a fantastic spot for photos and visits.
  • Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - Ancient Corinth is the most popular village for the Corinthians and Romans, featuring the Temple of Apollo, the second most famous Temple of Apollo after the one in Delphi. The village of Ancient Corinth is 7,000 years old, and you can visit the Temple of Apollo, the Octavia Temple (Caesar’s mother), the Agora, the Oracle of Corinth, the Ancient Church of Paul, the museum, and many more sites.
  • Temple of Apollo - The Temple of Apollo, dedicated to the local god of the Corinthians and the Roman god of light and music, is unique because it is the only Temple of Apollo that the sun can see from all angles. Apollo was the god of light and music for the Greeks, Corinthians, and Romans.
  • Archaeological Museum of Corinth - One of the most famous museums in Greece, it houses many statues and all Roman emperors, including Periander and Gallion. The museum also features 265 amphoras with different styles, such as Greek keys, as amphora production was a main business of the Corinthians.
  • Acrocorinth - This castle, dating back to the 5th century B.C., stands 530 meters high and served as Caesar’s winter palace. It includes the Temple of Aphrodite, which housed 1,000 of the most beautiful women of Corinth, and the business of Priscilla and Aquila, the tentmakers, was located outside. It is the largest castle in Europe, well-known in Roman times for its amazing views. Caesar could watch the Corinth Canal and the boats from there.
  • Ancient Port of Kenchreai - In 51 A.D., Paul found Priscilla and Aquila making tents here. He stayed overnight and you can see the very first Christian church. He departed from here to go to Ephesus after 16 months.

Best ever St Paul/Apostles experience! - Seeing the Corinth canal and the old port where St Paul arrived and met Aquila & Pricilla was mind blowing! Also seeing Old town Corinth was amazing! The constant flow of information along the whole ride was wonderful! We were very blessed to have a genuine passionate Christian with a private car leading the tour! We loved it all!

Would recommend this to anyone! - Konstantinos Was so incredible. His knowledge of the city of Athens, biblical landmarks, and skilled driving made our day a huge success. He was personable and willing to stop anywhere along the way. You can tell he loves his culture and wants to share it with others. He even stopped and got us more water when we all ran out! Seeing these sites with our own eyes made the Bible stories come to life. I highly recommend booking this tour!

Loved it! - The trip with Kostas was fantastic. He was very friendly and accommodating. He picked us up right from the port after getting off our cruise ship. Very clean and comfortable van, with bottles of water and wifi. The transport to the sites around Ancient Corinth was seamless. He even dropped us off at the airport. I would highly recommend this tour!

the most incredible private tour, HIGHLY recommend - I came to Greece with two of my girl friends. We decided to do this tour at the end of the trip after we had already done a lot of the big Greece hotspots, such as the Acropolis and Santorini. I can say 100% this was the highlight of our entire trip. Konstantine made it an incredible day for us. He picked us up on time in a spacious Mercedes Benz mini van that had air conditioning. He bought us cold waters throughout the tour and treated us with ice cream at the end. On top of being an incredible and accommodating tour guide, his caring and joyful energy was infectious and God’s love was shining through him. We felt so comfortable, safe, happy, and at ease the entire tour. I cannot express how much I recommend this tour and meeting Konstantine. It was the best decision we made during the trip and we were all sad when it ended.

The best experience - I can’t say enough good things about Konstantine. It’s hard in today’s world to meet people who are genuine and actually care for you, especially a complete stranger. Konstantine embodies the love of Jesus in a way that is so admirable. This was the coolest experience, a 11/10 and Thank God he was our guide!!! He was so knowledgeable and loves what he does. He’s my favorite person I’ve met on this trip! If you’re thinking about booking, do it!!!

AMAZING! - Konstantinos was one of the best tour guides somebody can have! He picked us up right at our hotel, provided complimentary waters, had a mercedes benz van with wonderful A/C (a must in july) and was incredibly friendly. Traveling as three women in a foreign country can be scary at times, but he made us feel so comfortable and even treated us with ice cream at the end :). The sites were breathtaking and not very tourist busy which was refreshing. He ended the trip with a gift for each of us! He is an amazing Christian man who radiates the love of Christ! You must take this tour and all this for a great price! 10/10 recommend it!

St Paul and Ancient Corinth - Kostas our guide is a total professional. He arrived at our hotel on time and his Mercedes car was very clean and has excellent air con. He speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable. We told him our interest was about St Paul and that anything he could show us or tell us about him would be appreciated. The highlights for us were: 1. Visiting Ancient Corinth and standing were St Paul would have preached to the people of ancient Corinth. 2. Visiting the port that St Paul left Corinth to go to Ephesus and return one more time. 3. Visiting the modern St Paul’s church. 4. Visiting the Corinth canal from the bridge and then at canal level, where we watched some boats go through. We had an excellent day and we were provided with cold bottled water and great conversation from Kostas. We would have no doubt in recommending Great Greece Tours and Kostas for any tour but if you have an interest in re tracing the footsteps of St Paul in ancient Corinth then we are confident you would enjoy a tour with Great Greece Tours.
