Loved the virtual goggles!! - We had 2 tour guides for this tour. The first tour guide that met us and walked us to the entrance was a great story teller and explained so much of the Roman Empire in a condensed easy to understand way. It really helped to have a good understanding of the what was next. The tour guide in the Domus was good but she had a very thick accent and in the beginning it was hard to follow the details of the excavation site. By the time we used the virtual glasses things made sense but I almost would have been better to have the virtual glasses first so we could visualize what we were seeing amongst the ruins. A great tour for anyone that loves Roman history. The ruins were quite cold compared to outside so a recommendation to bring a light sweater or scarf would help.

Very unique site with excellent guides - The site is very unique since it's Nero's ancient party house built below Trajan's public baths (you see elements of both). The tour has two guides, one outside the site and one inside. Both of ours were very good at their roles. Our guide inside the site was an archaeologist, which I'd like to see in more tours around Rome. I had a great experience with the VR headset, though my wife complained that hers was fuzzy (which may have been influenced by her glasses).
