Rural Japan in Tokyo - When my girlfriend and I booked this very activity, we were not sure what to expect. By the description the package sounded great. In the end it was much better than what we thought we would get. We were greeted by a very lovely Japanese couple in their classroom. Mr. Sato and Mrs. Yuki provided every possible insight into Japanese calligraphy and the way it should be done to master the art of Shōdo. We felt at peace and my dear girlfriend decided to buy some calligraphy supplies in Japan and continue to improve herself in this very discipline. After all this educational morning we traveled by the train to the north part of Tokyo. Tokyo is well known for the shiny lights, cute souvenirs and lovely cafés and yet, when you travel to the northern suburbs of Tokyo, you move back in time. We fell in love with discreet shrines, temple in the mountains and a little bamboo forest in the botanical garden. Both my girlfriend and I agreed that this very activity was the best thing that we were able to do in Japan. Mr. Sato and Mrs. Yuki are people in the right place. ほんとにありがとうございました。

Calligraphy experience with fun - I joined this experience as early stage monitor. It was very fun activity and instructor was very helpful and kind. To make calligraphy products is memorable experience. Oyama shopping street has local vibe. It is different from tourist area and city center area vibe. It was another Japanese feeling. Many restaurants and shops are located.
