Very nice - We visited the Vatican museum lunch was included, with the tickets, the location for lunch was outside and very nice. I recommend to book this visit with tourist action.

Vatican museum with lunch - I booked just the entrance ticket with lunch thinking that it would save me time and shoe leather trying to find a free seat at a restaurant at a potentially busy moment. I am so glad that I made that decision. There is nothing wrong with the cafeteria meal, and I am a vegetarian so choice was very limited. But I had tomato and fresh basil pasta, a huge salad, fruit, (could have had yoghurt)...was stuffed. OK maybe it wasn´t worth 18 euros, but to save the hassle and uncertainty after all that walking. If you want to sit on a bench in the sun, after lunch, that is also on offer.

Impossible to find cafeteria - Pros - The beauty of the lunch ticket is that you can come AT YOUR LEISURE, any hour you like. If your lunch slot is 2 PM, you can enter the museum when it opens. This is incredible flexibility for those who are coming straight from a flight or train and you are not quite certain when you may set foot in the Vatican. We purchased this only because regular tickets were sold out, but with the free lunch and flexible entrance, this is well worth it. Cons - The cafeteria is impossible to find and no staff members know where it is, or rather they think they know where it is and you end up on a wild goose chase up and down the stairs for almost half an hour. There are multiple eateries, the only staff that really knows where it are the employees at the restaurant in the center of the courtyard. The directions to find the cafeteria where you redeem your voucher is: Enter the museum, go up the spiral steps or escalator. Walk up towards the windows, you will pass the bookstore will be to your right. To your left is the entrance to the museum and the courtyard with the pinecone. To your right, go down a set of new stairs towards the cafeteria or the exit and bathrooms. The cafeteria is a food court set up, you can only redeem your voucher at one of the cashiers. There will be signs to the cashier where you redeem your voucher. The process was incredibly confusing on what items you were entitled to. Get the pasta and vegetarian rice dish, water bottles chips and fruit. It's edible.

Lunch was complete waste of money. Just get a standard ticket if you can - Paid extra for what I hoped would be an enjoyable lunch. In fact it was cafeteria style slop which was mediocre at best. Added to which, being served on paper plates / bowls the whole experience was awful value for money. This ticket was the only way we could secure a tour of the Vatican museums but I would strongly recommend other options without lunch if available.

Main restaurant not good - Busy self service canteen, like so many of these museum offerings, it wasn't a nice experience. There's a table service cafe outside in the pine (pigna) courtyard which is much nicer for sandwiches etc & nice staff. Photo attached.

Don't buy ticket with meal included at the Vatican! - Honestly, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! This was THE worst lunch (meal) we had in Italy. McDonald's is 1000x better and I refuse to eat there!! The choices are incredibly limited, the quality is suspicious at best, and the food was served cold. My poor children did not enjoy their meal at all and I will now go and try to find something for them to eat as soon as we leave the Vatican. It's really a shame as it could have been a wonderful end and break to our visit instead of adding to the frustration of having had to have beat out crowds for the past 3 hours.

Vatican lunch - Please do not book this If you paid for what was on offer on the day it is cheaper and you would get more choice basically told it was fish or chicken with rice or cauliflower No choice in drinks either Worst lunch had for years

A beautiful sight, needs beautiful employees and beautiful food. - We were so disappointed. We purchased admission tickets with a lunch at 2:00 pm. At the time of booking, we believed that we were booked into the outdoor bistro. We were not. We were told that the lunch was now being provided in the cafeteria, which was an awful experience. Our visit became a nightmare since several museum employees gave us the wrong directions to the cafeteria, then directed us to the wrong entrance to the museum. Many of the museum employees seemed more concerned about impressing each other than really being helpful to the tourists that pay their wages. Many seemed annoyed by the tourists to the point of just being rude. The Sistine Chapel was beautiful and no amount of poor employees could detract from it.
