Upon arrival at the Rifugio Sapienza (located at 1920 meters above sea level), there are two possible activities: you either opt for a trek along one of the Etna Park trails, taking you up to 2000 meters, or you may select the ‘Etna high altitude’ option.

The ‘Etna Tour from Syracuse’ starts with you being picked up from your accommodation. Upon arrival at the Rifugio Sapienza (located at 1920 meters above sea level), there are two possible activities: you either opt for a trek along one of the Etna Park trails, taking you up to 2000 meters, or you may select the ‘Etna high altitude’ option.
In the latter choice, additional fees apply on site, and you will be transported to a height of 2504 meters using the Etna cable car, and using special 4×4 vehicles, you can reach a height of 2900 meters above sea level.
After departing the Sapienza Refuge, the tour heads to Zafferana Etnea - known as the city of honey. Here, the opportunity arises for you to taste local delicacies and learn about the honey-making process.
