• Amalfi Coast - 8:00 am pick-up from the overnight hotel.
• Pompeii Archaeological Park - The tour begins with a stop in Pompeii. You can explore the archaeological site with an expert guide (available upon request) for 2 hours or independently. The guide will highlight the main attractions preserved after the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Don’t miss the Civil Forum, where you can capture photos with Vesuvius in the background. After the tour, head to new Pompeii, stroll through the streets, and visit Piazza Bartolo Longo to admire the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Pompeii (1 hour).
• Paestum - Following Pompeii, you’ll travel to Paestum (about 1 hour and 20 minutes). Founded by the Greeks around 600 BC and originally named Poseidonia, it was later occupied by the Lucanians and became a Roman colony in 273 BC, renamed Paestum.
• Tenuta Vannulo - Before reaching Paestum’s archaeological site, we’ll stop at a local dairy to taste ‘buffalo mozzarella.’
• Archaeological Park of Paestum - The city, known in its entirety, has been partially excavated. Surrounded by imposing walls, it features main buildings along the Roman cardo line. To the north is the Temple of Athena (circa 500 BC). The central public area dates back to two periods: the 5th-century BC Ecclesiasterion overlooking the Greek city’s agora and a significant chapel-shaped building. The Roman city had its forum here, with the comitium, the Capitolium, and the basilica. Behind the forum were the amphitheater and a Hellenistic gymnasium with a large pool. To the south was the large urban sanctuary of Hera, with two magnificent temples: the ‘Basilica’ (circa 540 BC) and the ‘Temple of Neptune’ (460 BC).

First stop: Pompeii. This includes a guided tour of roughly 2 hours through the ancient Pompeii archaeological dig sites, after which you can explore new Pompeii on your own for about 1 hour.
Second stop: Paestum. Before we get to the Paestum archaeological digs, you will enjoy a buffalo mozzarella tasting at Tenuta Vannullo and a brief tour of their local cheese production. Later, you will be directed to the Paestum archaeological sites where you can explore on your own. We’ll end the day by escorting you to your hotel for the night.
