• St. Peter’s Square - St. Peter’s Square is a large plaza located directly in front of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, the papal enclave inside Rome. Both the square and the basilica are named after Saint Peter, an apostle of Jesus considered by some to be the first Pope. At the centre of the square is an ancient Egyptian obelisk, erected at the current site in 1586. Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the square almost 100 years later, including the massive Doric colonnades, four columns deep, which embrace visitors in “the maternal arms of Mother Church”. A granite fountain constructed by Bernini in 1675 matches another fountain designed by Carlo Maderno in 1613

The post-cruise tour is designed for clients who wish to spend a few hours exploring Rome after their cruise and before heading to the airport. After being picked up at Civitavecchia port, clients can visit Rome’s major attractions, such as the Colosseum (external), Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, and St. Peter’s Square. The tour can be customized to meet individual preferences and may include visits to churches or basilicas where certain dress codes (e.g., no short skirts, shorts, or bare shoulders) are enforced. The price includes one standard suitcase and one carry-on bag per person. Any additional luggage must be reported at the time of booking and may incur an extra charge. The company reserves the right to refuse service to passengers with excess luggage. Wheelchairs must be reported at the time of booking and are subject to a €25 supplement, payable directly to the driver.
