Very disappointed! - The couple was very nice, but spoke little English and I feel had very little understanding of what seeing the 7 churches meant.
My first clue was when they were going to drop us off far from St,. Peter's Basilica, told us we had 40 minutes but she recommends we skip the Basilica because of the long cue!
Given we had a wonderful tour of St. Peter's on Tuesday we chose to then skip it and go on to the next church.
St. Paul's and we were given 20 minutes to do the whole church.
Well it took 20 minutes to get through the door!
My husband actually decided there wasn't enough time for him to do the church and turned around and went back to the van.
He is mobility challenged with a cane, which I thought paying $1433. For a private van would have worked for him!
Then we went to St. John Lateran, we all got through the cue and went through this door.
We decided at 1130, with the driver telling us 130 minutes left to go to St. Mary Major (only the 4th church) and saw the cue was around the church, which didn't seem to please the couple driving us very well)
My 2boys and I decided to get out and go for the cue, and send the car back to the hotel with my husband)
All and all, the thought of this tour was great but very poorly planned out!!!!
There was no way, that even if we all had normal mobility we were going to make all 7 churches in the time allotted given the trafic.
Another thought is, that for this price we should have had a guide that could tell us about the churches ( though I know this was not promised, just a big suggestion).
Every tour we have done to date via TripAdvisor or viator until today was well worth the price!
Today, I feel I threw away 1400.00!
