Great Experience - For our sightseeing visit in Rome we decided to go with City Light Tours for the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's tour. I've had some bad experiences in the past with these type of tours so I was a little bit skeptical. City Light Tours did not disappoint. Friendly service from start to finish. Our guide was so knowledgeable and we learned so much from her. Alessandra, thank you so so much for an amazing experience.

Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica fast track entry - By chance we were walking towards the Basilica when City Lights rep approached us. So glad he did. This was a wonderful tour and made our stay and experience of Rome the best it could be. Our tour guide Dina was exceptional and knowledgeable. Thank you Dina you are a credit to the company and Rome. A full and comprehensive tour of the Vatican museums and fast track,jump the queue entry to the magnificent basilica. Group of just 9 of us and Dina spoke to us throughout via a ear piece. All very slick . Don't forget to send a postcard from the Vatican.Five stars.

Wonderfully Arranged Tour - We were asked on the street if we would like to do this tour and taken to a meeting place. From there a guide walked us to the booking office. The staff were all very helpful. We then walked to the Vatican where we were met by our Guide Guido. We had fast track passes and Guido was full of interesting facts and information. We went outside, then through the Vatican, through the Cistine Chappel and finally into St Peter’s Basillica. My favourite part was all the interesting facts about Michelangelo and that he was a sculptor and architect and not an artist. You will have to do this tour to find out more! This was a really well organised tour and I thoroughly recommend City Lights

Perfect Tour in Rome - On our way to the Petersdom we were „caught“ by Sean from Ireland. Of course there are many „hunters“ to sell a guided Tour but Sean was realy nice, friendly and (for germans ) easy to understand. After a short time (app. 30 min) he guided us to an office and he introduced us to our tourguide Alberto. The tour was as requested in german language, we skipped al lines and the Tour was very interesting. We were just 6 people. A perfekt tour with a perfekt guide ALBERTO. Regards from Germany Andreas, Gerti, Volker, Simone and two unknown

Dina was the best tour guide!! - Skip the line is the BEST idea ever!! Also, this company really gives you the history and information that unpacks and deepens your touring experience in Rome and at the Vatican. Dina was warm, personable and knowledgeable. Her information really deepened the touring experience of the Vatican galleries as well as St. Peter's Basilica. I would recommend this company and Dina for anyone traveling to Rome!!

knowledgeable guide and well organised tour - After the biggest scam from headout, we already wasted 100 Euros but couldnt get in the Vaticans that morning. We ran into Shawn from Citylights Tours and we thought we are only at the Vaticans once, so might as well pay again to get in. Our guide Eddy was excellent, knowledgeable and very well organised. Our group was a small team of 6 so we didn't get pushed through. It was overall great service and experience from Citylights Tours.

The best tour guide for the Vatican Tour - After many previous experiences where agents mislead you with their famous "skip the line"-recommendations, we landed with Eduardo {Eddy} who has a PHD in Michealangelo and his history, Eddy was without a doubt extremely knowledgable, he managed the small, intimate tour with a masterful hand and was a fountain of knowledge. What a privilege to have been lead by hom through the chaos that is the Vatican and the Sistine Chappel. He made it absolutely worthwhile and I would recommend City Light's Tours and especially Eddy with an open heart. I have been on many tours, but his guidance, patience, knowledge and caring about us are to be recommended. Leon van Nierop {South Africa.}

Worth the money! - Came to the Vatican planning to find a tour to join. We met an Egyptian man on the bridge who gave us all the info we needed to agree to take the tour. He was even able to give us and our 2 kids a slight discount from the advertised price, $147€ for the 4of us. We had to wait about 40 min for the tour to start but by the time we left, they were booking 2 tours behind us as it was getting quite busy. We had to walk about 10 min to meet our guide, GUIDO at the company offices. Note, large umbrellas are not permitted in the Vatican so we had the option to leave them in the office or try to check them at the museum entrance. Note, if you choose to check them at the entrance, it’s a 20 min walk back at the end of the tour to get them. It’s a bit of a process walking to the entrance, going through security, waiting for the tickets then waiting for the radio but skipping the line saved us at least an hour for the museum and likely another hour for St Peters. It’s off season now and the lineups were still lengthy (and it was raining). Once we got in, the tour was excellent. We only covered the highlights as the museum is 1400 rooms. The info we received was informative and interesting. Even our 2 kids ages 10&14 liked it. The radio does cut in and out if you get too far away from the guide so recommend you stuck close to hear all the info. Total time was about 3 hours. You also have the option to stay longer if you like but you must tell him before leaving as once you exit, you are done. Highly recommended.

VALERIA is a BRILLIANT asset to your company. - I don't even know where to begin about our "tour guide" Valeria. (We did our tour yesterday afternoon 3pm 24/01/2018). Even BEFORE we entered the Vatican, Valeria had us in the palm of her hand with her knowledge of ancient Rome, the Swiss Guard/s, etc. etc. etc. She was a fount of knowledge throughout the entire tour and her passion to impart her depth of knowledge was unbounding and palpable. She was highly articulate and hugely compelling. There wasn't a single cell of the Vatican that she didn't know about (not to mention other Papal dwellings eg. Avignon etc.). She was attentive to each and every member of the group and while attending to OUR group was also very attuned and considerate to surrounding groups. She tolerated our simplistic questions with grace and charm. Initially we had booked a "skip the queue entrance ticket" and i was highly doubtful about upgrading to a "guided tour". In hindsight, it was terrific decision. Our trip to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's would not have been the same without it. I would highly recommend City Light Tours to anyone visiting the Vatican and when i return to Rome i will use the company again. Thank you for enhancing our experience.
