Highlights
- Pedra da Gávea - We will start from the meeting point, a walk inside the Tijuca National Park.
This trail requires physical conditioning, a 2.5 km walk, where it will take approximately 2h30m to the top.
During the journey we will be able to contemplate the flora, fauna and beautiful views. With stops whenever necessary to hydrate, catch your breath and of course take pictures.
After passing through the paradão, one of the most popular places to photograph and with an incredible view, we will then arrive at the famous Carrasqueira, where we will go on a climb or rappelling suber, with all the necessary security.
Continuing the trail, we reached the top and now it’s just time to enjoy the best view of Rio de Janeiro, we’ll get to know all the main points and contemplate this achievement.

10/10! - Rodrigo is an amazing guide - I felt 100% safe doing this hike with him, and boy I’m glad I did have a guide for this one! He has a kind aura to him and was so patient, friendly and approachable. 10/10!

The best hike in Rio with beautiful view - Super nice and challenging hike to the top of Rio. Rodrigo is a calm and super informative guide how will take you to the summit save und with good care. I had a super experience with him during the hike.

100% recommend - Lovely hike! Felt safe and supported the whole time as a young solo female traveller. Rodrigo is a very patient, knowledgeable, and kind guide! He knows how to tailor appropriately to fitness levels and ensures everyone is safe (and enjoying themselves)! He also took awesome photos for me & helped with my footing at tricky parts. Great exercise & beautiful views! A mix of Tjuca forest, (beginner)rock climbing / rappelling, and open hilltop scenery. Definitely recommend this hike - a must see!

Best guide in Rio - Rodrigo is the guide you want for your Rio adventures!!! He was highly professional, knowledgeable, and passionate. I did the Pedra da Gávea hike with him and it was an amazing experience. Communication with Rodrigo was easy through WhatsApp. The hike itself was challenging but very beautiful! Rodrigo was patient with our group, showing us where to place our hands/feet in the steeper rock portion of the hike. Rodrigo is also an amazing photographer, the pictures he took of me at the different viewpoints were on point. Rodrigo was also keenly aware of our surroundings while we hiked and spotted a group of monkeys for us to see! All in all, a 10/10 experience, any tour/excursion I'll be doing from now on in Rio will be with Rodrigo.

Rodrigo is the best! - Rodrigo was amazing. He was very kind and friendly and made sure you were comfortable the whole time. We hiked up Pedra da Gávea with him and ended up doing a sunrise hike up Two Brothers Peak with him the next morning. It was fun getting to know him and seeing some beautiful places in Brazil. As everyone else says he's a great photographer as well :)

What a guy - Had a fantastic hike this morning with Rodrigo. Amazing views and he is quite the photographer! He did a great job guiding us to the top and navigating us through the boulders. Wouldn’t pick anyone else!
