An amazing guide ! - We had booked this half day group tour and the morning we were to head out, half of our group ended up being ill. I offered to pay Luis for my wife and my portion and he could head out and get on with his day. He wouldn't have it and offered to take only 4 of us for a shorter tour without the original meal stop included in the original (more on that later). The tour was fantastic with Luis and his wingman (son Angel) going above and beyond to insure we had a great and memorable experience. Touring the hills between Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo while learning about the Flaura, Fauna, the local peoples and infrastructure was so informative. The sites and smells of the city market were intoxicating, and watching Luis interact with the locals and many foreigners from past tours he has done throughout the years, was amazing and fun. We then headed for the South end and visited the Parthenon replica (unfortunately closed that day), stopped to enjoy the many amazing views af the bay and the beautiful La Ropa beach. Finally we headed into the hills to a small village, where Luis was kind enough to stop at a roadside vendor and purchase us a wonderful stew like meat dish in delicious fresh bread. Then we headed to a beautiful Coconut plantation run by a third generation family, who were very infomative and accomodating. I have in the past, been acussed by numerous tour guides of asking to many questions. Luis never once seemed frustrated by any of our quiries and in fact, stopped the vehicle on many occasions to answer questions in full. If you visit this wonderful part of Mexico and wish to either learn more about it's many beautiful and interesting places or it's history, I truly believe Luis is your best option. Sorry, no pictures available right now but I will post later. Thank you so much Luis, and Angel, for a very wonderful and memorable experience. Hasta Luego, Kerry and Yvette Hamilton

Choose Luis. You will find none better! - Luis was our tour guide for two days. First was the island tour and the next day we had a private tour with Luis of Zihua and Ixtapa. Luis is the consummate tour guide. Helpful, funny, extremely knowledgeable, and very concerned with the comfort and enjoyment of his guests. When I asked his recommendations for transportation to the airport for our return trip, he volunteered to pick us up at the hotel and take us to the airport. I've never experienced a tour guide as amazing as Luis. As we told him at the airport, we met him as our guide and he has now become our friend. If you are in Zihua/Ixtapa, please be sure to choose Luis to learn about the area. You will find none better.

Fantastic way to see Zihuatanejo and the surrounding area. - Pablo was a fantastic guide on a lovely day seeing around Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo and Playa Blanca. It was really good to get out of town and see some more of life in Mexico outside the most touristic spots. The coconut farm and the lunch at the beach were especially memorable. Would highly recommend.

Discovering new places - This was our first visit to the area. This tour was a great way to discover the area. I would highly recommend if this is your first time visiting Ixtapa. We had Pablo as our guide, and he was great. He gave us a little extra time to do flea market, shopping. The tour of the coconut farm was interesting and seeing the bricks made by hand was eye opening. The lunch we had at Playa Blanca was delicious and the setting was beautiful.

City and Country tour…highly recommended for new and returning visitors to area - I have visited the area for many years but learned about many interesting, previously unknown aspects of the region on this tour. Our guide Pablo was exceptional…he arrived promptly for the hotel pick up, his car was clean and comfortable and we were treated like visiting friends not just tourists. His knowledge of local history and traditions was outstanding. We enjoyed learning about the history of the Ixtapa hotel region. The stop made at the clay tile production site was particularly interesting…the family working there had a long history of hand crafting small production run roof tiles and bricks used locally. Lunch on the beach before coming home was a fine ending to a very good tour. I will certainly take another of Luis’ regional tours in the future.

Great tour - Francisco was knowledgable and friendly. We saw some great areas in Ixtapa and Zihua. Loved making brick roof tiles. Was good to see Ixtapa from the overlook where we could see the whole bay. Restaurant for lunch was excellent. From the tour I would come back and this time stay in Zihuatanejo next time because the area is so quaint and the hillside condos so amazing

Excellent tour - This was a great tour for our first time to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. Pablo explained everything about the people, the towns and the culture. It was great to see the landscape outside of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. Plus we left our phone on the bus and I left a message on Tripadvisor. Within 1 hour I received a message back saying that Pablo left the phone at the hotel. I would highly recommend this company, this trip and especially Pablo.

Educational and interesting way to beat the heat in Zihua - This was our third visit to Ixtapa/Zihua but wanted to see more if the countryside. We were met at our hotel by Pablo Olivar, who spoke great English and very personable . We were the only couple so had a great personalized tour. While we had been to some of the city and resort locations on the tour, he provided details and info we were not aware of which made the outing most enjoyable. Stopped for fresh coconut and saw the manufacture of clay roof tiles as they have been made for centuries. Drove through coconut plantations and oceanside towns. Last stop was Barra de Potosi for a fabulous traditional lunch overlooking the ocean. Thank you Pablo
