- Jabal Shams - Embark on an exciting outdoor adventure! Be prepared at your designated pick-up location as the tour guide will arrive at 07:30 AM. The journey from Muscat to Jabal Shams, known as The Grand Canyon, takes about 3 hours. Along the way, the tour guide will make stops, including at a fuel station, where you can use the restroom or enjoy a hot or cold beverage of your choice. The first stop is Wadi Ghul village, a 2000-year-old settlement located at the base of Mountain Ghul. Although now abandoned, it was constructed with solid stones and can be seen en route to Jabal Shams. Continuing the drive, there will be a stop at a viewpoint for photos. From this vantage point, you can see the trail you will be hiking. A short drive from the viewpoint leads to the trekking starting point. Upon arrival, the trek begins on the W6 trail, which takes approximately 4 hours to complete. The edge of the canyon offers breathtaking views of the numerous wadis and stunning valleys below.

Great trip! - If you want to have a trip with an adventure, this is the best tour for you.
Our guide Fawzi was a kind man and he showed us great views of Jebel Shams.
The hike is about 4 hours, but has some ups and downs. Do not forget to bring your hiking boots!

Awesome view - I did the balcony trail trekking tour with my guide Jamal, who is a friendly person and made the road trip enjoyable. Amazing tour overall. The hike was purely spectacular, highly recommend

A day hiking in the Oman canyon. - Great auditors experience, the canyon is breathtaking. 4 hours hike ending up overlooking a beautiful natural pool and having lunch prepared by our tour guide Ali. Totally recommended to people who enjoy hiking and the outdoors.

A must experience--The Grand Canyon of Oman - The view of "Grand Canyon of Oman" is breath-taking. The hike was moderately challenging but the view was well worth it. Our guide Ali was so helpful and he knows his way around Jabal Shams so well. He prepared a great lunch for our picnic. If you love hiking and trekking, don't miss this experience.
