Additional Information

Experience the World Heritage Kakadu National Park on this interactive day tour from Darwin. On this small group Kakadu day tour, your Offroad Dreaming Guide will interpret for you, the Ancient Artworks at the Ubirr Rock Art Sites, spend time with the Artworks at ground level, or climb to the top to view the 360’ lookout over the Wetlands from the Nadab lookout, join the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River, to hear about the history and culture of the people and the land and take up their invitation for a step into Arnhem Land, where there will be a cultural demonstration. Your professional guide will take you through the day, sharing with you knowledge and stories as you go.

During March and April, we will revert to our equally in depth wet season itinerary for the Kakadu Day Tour. This will include visiting the Rock Art Galleries at Burrungkuy, Nourlangie Rock, instead of Ubirr and we will take the Yellow Waters Billabong Cruise instead of the Guluyambi Cruise.

One day Kakadu Offroad Dreaming tour - The one day Kakadu from Darwin was sensational. The tour bus arrived on time and our guide Krissy certainly has a passion for the Darwin area and Kakadu National Park. Her enthusiastic personality plus detailed knowledge of the Parks flora and fauna certainly entertained all on board for the full day. I would recommend Offroad Dreaming

Wonderful Kakadu - Mike is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The ancient Indigenous Rock Art is amazing. beautiful cultural boat trip. Plenty of food for lunch and snacks. It would be better doing two day trip with one night staying at Kakadu to save travelling time & better cost wise.

Kakadu is beautiful and peaceful - I was very impressed with our tour guide who went above anything expected. The rock art was superb. Lunch was also great. The river cruise was hosted by Hilton who shared all about his culture and the region. Would highly recommend this for first time visitors. Saw enough to want to go back

Seeing Kakadu only re-enforces how amazingly diverse and beautiful it is. - The whole day was memory making. Delightful tour guide who ensured all abilities were catered for and everyone got the most out of their day. From the brief stop at Corroboree, the Mamukala Wetlands - so much water and water lilies. At Ubirr lots of beautiful rocks, ancient art and magnificent 360 degree view from the top. On to East Alligator River for the boat ride and coming close to a crocodile ( more than just one though, lots of them). Our boat guide directed us to step out onto Arnhem Land and then he gave an awesome display of the art of spear throwing and a lesson in the making of them. We also learned so much about the number of different "people" who make up the Arnhem and Kakadu populations. So many languages. Another highlight was sighting a Jabiru in a water way next to the road, some other members were lucky enough to see a dingo in the bush as well. All through out the tour our guide provided lots of relevant commentary and details. Food was provided - more than enough yummy things to suit everyone. Lots of cold water on tap as well. I am so glad that our short stay in Darwin included this tour, some-one else to drive us to all the amazing sites we visited and we were just able to look out the window and take it all in. Thank you Offroad Dreaming for giving us a beautiful taste of Kakadu and all it has to offer.
