Wish I could give 100 stars - once in a lifetime experience run by amazing people - I chose this place to take a guided trail ride because the reviews were so overwhelmingly positive - 211 five star reviews out of 225 total - and I could not be happier I did! My group of 7 ended up being the only one headed out at that time, so I had the pleasure of meeting many of the wranglers along with Richard. They are such a personable and helpful group of folks, I knew I was in for a great time before we even got in the saddle. They asked us questions about our riding abilities and such to carefully match us to the best horse possible. Our group had a wide variety of ability, and every single person was perfectly matched to their horse to reflect that. All the horses are clearly very well cared for and loved - we did get some snuggle time before our ride headed out! The ride itself was indescribably gorgeous (I HIGHLY recommend you check it out for yourself) and our guide felt like an old friend immediately. She was a wealth of local knowledge; I feel like I learned more about the Jackson Hole area than I found in all my trip research and planning. I have been riding my whole life, and I honestly am a little hesitant about trail ride operations in general because I’ve seen quite a few where the horses seemed like they were drugged to provide a “safe” experience to the riders, but Willow Creek is absolutely not one of those places. Our horses were immaculately behaved and clearly enjoyed their job - they are still living creatures with their own minds, so if you’re expecting that they don’t flick an ear when a herd of elk passes by, I’d recommend choosing a bicycle tour instead. The wrangler we rode with was clearly a total professional, and helped explain to us what to do if the horses get spooked by something, and while nothing happened on our ride, it was clear that we were in excellent hands if anything did happen. I’d give this place a hundred stars if I could, and I will definitely be back again and again. Thank you SO much, to all the Willow Creek staff, for such a wonderful experience you truly cannot get anywhere else!!

Horseback Ride at Willow Creek - I was visiting Jackson Hole for the first time and Willow Creek was recommended as a fun way to see the gorgeous scenery and to do so in a fun way! The wrangler on our ride was London and she was amazing! She had a positive attitude, was well prepared, and made our entire party feel engaged throughout the entire ride. I personally am not the most comfortable around horses but I felt right at home with the horses and staff at Willow Creek. I rode Warrior and he was super sweet and took great care of me! The horses that the rest of my party rode were all also very well behaved and had no issues throughout the entire ride. I recommend this experience to anyone hoping to see some beautiful Wyoming scenery in a fun and unique way!!

Amazing Ride - Great Guides and Horses - A Jackson MUST DO! - Wow!! This was an incredible experience!! The ride was even better than described on the Willow Creek website. Scheduling with Richard was easy and he was very accommodating to our schedule and interests. Our guide was London. She was clearly a very accomplished horsewoman and ensured we were perfectly matched to our horses (some of our group had experience riding and others did not). The horses are safe, very well cared for, and were turned out beautifully. London was genuinely interested in our family and engaged us the entire ride. She also shared a great deal about the area, wildlife, and flowers. The scenery is breathtaking and truly a once in a lifetime to experience on horseback. I would recommend this outfitter to anyone! Thank you, London, Richard, and Willow Creek!

Best Jackson Hole Activity - The best activity we did while visiting Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. Only one of us had any real experience riding horses and we all felt confident and safe with the animals and the guide. The scenery was phenomenal and our guide was knowledgeable and personable. A must do.

A Must Do!! - This experience was like no other! I felt like we were in a dream with the views, the flowers, and the horses. The guides are truly such gems, and so are the horses you get To ride. We did the lunch ride and it was perfect! Look no further and book with them, you will not be disappointed. My fiancé has only rode a horse once over 15 years ago, and even he said it was his favorite thing we did.

Great memory day! - We all had a wonderful time on our trail ride! Jacob was our "leader" and he was awesome. We had two adults, two grands, and two AARP folks! He was very patient and very knowledgeable not only about riding but also the area. The granddaughter rode Blondie. She vows to return to JH if only to see Blondie! All the staff was extremely courteous also. Great memory day!

A perfect way to spend in the mountains. - Our family of 5, ages 16, 14, and 11, absolutely loved our half day horse ride with our guide London. Our horses were beautiful and gentle. The trail leading to our lunch spot was absolutely breathtaking. I feel like I easily took over 500 pictures. Lunch was great. It was our daughter’s birthday and they surprised her with sparkling cider and a piece of birthday cake! We got to sing happy birthday to her in the mountains. Perfection! They went out of their way to make her day special. We thought 4 hours might be too much but all of our kids wished it was longer. My husband’s and my rear end begged to differ. It was a perfect amount of time for us city slickers. London was amazing! She talked to my girls the entire time. They had such great conversations. This is definitely a horse ride we will never forget. Thank you Willow Creek for an amazing day!! I would recommend this to everyone that visits the Jackson area!

A disaster - Rather a disastrous trail ride. we were 9 people including 2 kids (11 yrs), a teenager and adults. Most of us (including me, somebody who owns two horses and rides regularly) with riding experience. My husbands horse did not want to go down one of the steeper paths,,,, ended up bolting down off trail and throwing him. fortunately he could walk (tho painfully) and walked back the remaining 2-3 miles. Then, at end of ride within site of the end, a truck and trailer went over a "cattle guard" and made a significant amount of noise... All the horses bolted. My horse (I was close to the lead ) took off in a flat out gallop (I am an eventer and know what it is to gallop) and it took a lot to get him back. My daughter (also with riding experience) came off of her horse. The two eleven year olds sat tight and finally their horses came down. Rather disastrous as I said before. Was poorly organized. We started over a half hour late. The two "guides" were kind but inexperienced in how to control this kind of situation. there was no way to get my husband back other than to walk painfully after he had been thrown.....no plan B????? when we got to the end, nobody even asking if he or the other person who had come off at the end were ok!!! Nobody called the next day to see if he was ok? As an experienced rider, I considered this a poorly organized and irresponsible outfit. I do not recommend them for ride.
