Coolest candy store I’ve ever seen - We were fortunate enough to have Pete the owner give us our tour. It was very informative and we were able to watch the candymaking process as it was happening. The whole place was decorated lavishly for Halloween. There is over 22,000 ft.² in this place. Each room had a different type of candy. Plus, there is a restaurant within it. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable also. It is by far the coolest candy store I have ever seen. Plus, it’s locally owned and operated.

Rescheduled tour due to Hurricane Helene - Due to Hurricane Helene we had to reschedule our tour. They were gracious and accommodating with no hesitation. We’re still excited to see everything.

Sweets - Nice little candy shoppe. The tour was a cool thing to do and learn how the candy was made and find out the history of the building. Pete was our tour guide and him and his wife own the shoppe. You get to design your own chocolate bar which is delicious! I will warn you that you will want to spend some money here if you have kids or a sweet tooth.

Can’t wait to go back after posting pictures on facebook, my family wants to come & visit & go there. - It was a wonderful experience, didn’t even know this was in Jacksonville until I was trying to find something to do with my granddaughter coming into town to visit us. She enjoyed herself & loved all the candy & chocolate she could eat. We even ordered food in the cafe, it was so much food & delicious!

Sweet Pete's was an awesome treat! - It was a great experience. We learned the history of PeterBrookes and Sweet Pete's. We toured the candy factory and ate at the restaurant. Sweet Pete's is a hidden gem. There's also a kid's playroom there, they also host parties! It's downtown in a central location.

Quirky candy tour - Quirky candy experience. Sweet Pete's is largely a retail experience as there are plenty of sweet treats to buy. The "tour" is fairly minor; we went on a Sunday and it might have been more interesting if there had been employees working making candy and packaging it. On Sunday the "factory" was empty save for one employee so we were looking at a bunch of equipment and supplies. Not nearly as interesting than if they had been in use. You also get to hear the history of Sweet Pete's. There is a small restaurant that apparently serves food and several different rooms of treats to explore. On our visit the supply of house-made chocolate candy was very low or sold out; fudge was also sold-out.

Challenges Faced During the Tour with Autistic Adults - It was a bit challenging—unfortunately, the front desk couldn't accommodate us with my autistic adults. I had already purchased tickets for two, but my daughter decided to join us at the last minute. I let them enjoy the tour, but I couldn't help feeling concerned about my son, knowing that he might experience some episodes of GAD during the outing.
