Amazing! - If you are looking for surf lessons in Jaco, I would HIGHLY recommend choosing Sababa. I cannot say enough good things about them. Jay is an amazing teacher and he, Ceśar and Ethan were patient and knowledgeable with our 6 person (mostly beginner) group. They were so fun to learn from and we all had a fantastic time. We felt safe and supported as it was clear Jay has a wealth of experience and he truly enjoys imparting it to all levels of surfers. This was one of everyone’s favorite days from our trip! 🌊🏄

Try SABABA SURF - The instruction a Sababa Surf was incredible. My son, who’s a more advanced surfer, said he learned a few more techniques that were helpful. I’m a novice and was able to progress to where I was more comfortable on the board and surfing consistently. Great job J.

Sababa - Really nice person, good teacher and he take care of you ! I was able to surf in 2hrs with hin ! He really works for you in the sea !

Surfing lessons - My brother and I paid for the hour lessons and it was super worth it! Jay taught us all the techniques and made it really easy for us to catch our first waves. Highly recommend if you’ve never done surfing before or if you have done surfing but want to learn the proper techniques.

Surf with the best - Jay at Sababa, Jaco beach - Jay at Sababa surf Lessons, Jaco Beach, Costa Rica was amazing! He was refered to us and we were 100% impressed and satisfied. He was very thorough with understanding our abilities as beginners and what we wanted to achieve. We rec dryland instructions and we were able to practice on a board on beach. Before heading out to surf Jay reviewed his safety protocols. Once in water he immediately set us up on perfect waves and as we improved he put us on more challenging surf constantly providing sec by sec instructions and tips. We enjoyed it so much we returned to rent his boards the next day because he taught us how to surf. Jay is not only an awesome surfer, he is an excellent teacher and super personable. I am a 60 yr old cnd male with my two adult sons, Ride with Jay at Sababa u will have a blast! 🤙🏄🏼‍♂️

Expert Instruction and Great Price!! - My first time surfing, ever and Jay was SOOOO incredible. He explained everything very clearly and made us feel so safe. He gave great directions in the water and we had the best time of our lives. He’s professional and the best price on the beach. I highly recommend you go to Sababa.

Amazing surf lesson experience - I had a surf lesson with Jay yesterday at Jaco beach and it was such a great experience! He’s a really good instructor and had my up on the board catching waves within 10 minutes into the lesson! He was super chilled out and was very patient. It was such a fun couple of hours and made me feel like a kid again lol I highly recommend Jay and when I next come back to Costa Rica, I’ll be having more lessons with him. Thanks again Jay! The best place in Jaco for surf lessons and board rentals - This is the best place in Jaco, CR to learn how to surf. If you are thinking about a surf lesson or if you need to rent a surfboard then Jay of Sababa Surf is the best guy to learn from. He is patient, kind and will have you up on your first waves within one lesson. Jay and his wife speak fluent english and honestly you can't find a better place to take lessons in Jaco. Also, Jay is a honest person and he will not take advantage of you or your family. There are many surf business that look to exploit travelers by renting broken surfboards and then trying to charge them when the board breaks completely. Jay will not do that. He's a great person and I highly recommend that you take lessons/rent boards from his business.

First time surfer - Jay and Lucy are great! Jay is a great teacher and had me catching waves halfway through the lesson. I also rented a board for a couple of days after that. Wonderful people, and I'm excited to visit them again next time I visit Costa Rica!
