A day at the rainforest! - Very professional.
Prompt
Comfortable van
Two thumbs way, way up to our guide, Hazel, who was incredible. Very knowledgeable and informative with a keen eye for spotting wildlife. She took the time to ensure we all got opportunities to see the wildlife and answered all our questions. If we return, I would ask for her by name.

100% recommended. A spectacular agency - This company is spectacular. We stayed in Jacó for a week with a large group of 38 people, they were able to manage everything from Transport Trips to and from the airport for different groups, to tours to Manuel Antonio Park, Monkey Mongrove Tour and Tortuga Island. The monkey mangrove tour was amazing. Our Guide knew exactly how to attract the monkeys, we fed them and saw many different species. It was being on a real-life Disney Jungle Cruise. The guides were amazing, very attentive and nice. Every time I had a question, I would just text or call them and they would respond very quickly. They were always punctual in transportation to and from the airport and tours. To coordinate so many people they did an amazing job.100% recommends this very reliable company. Thank you very much and if we ever return to Costa Rica we will definitely use them again

Perfect day in Manuel Antonio - So beautiful! Our guide with Odyssey Tours, Hazel, and our driver took excellent care of us. We were picked up from our hotel on time, stopped at a scenic overlook in Jaco, stopped for breakfast and got to the park mid- morning. Getting into the park was easy. Hazel was informative. We saw monkeys, lizards, birds, crabs and sloths. The beach was beautiful. Ride home was relaxing. Our driver took excellent care and got us back to our hotel on time and safely.

A tour of Manuel Antonio Park and its beautiful beach - We used the VIP agency of the Oceano hotel to organize this visit. We were ready at 7:00AM but the bus passed around 7:30AM to then pick up 4 other passengers at Jacobet Playa Hermosa in La Terrazza. Our guide Ronald told us that a stop would be made on the way back to take a photo of the logo and the point of view, but that did not happen. A stop along the way at a small crossing for those who don't have lunch, which also includes a toilet. The journey takes about an hour and a half (including the stop) and Ronald intervenes several times to indicate the requirements of a park which excludes any disposable plastic bottles, knives, flashlights and batteries. We were dropped off at the Los Almendros redtaurant a few hundred meters from the park entrance. The group of 18 is a bit big and Ronald had to ask everyone their choice of menu for returning from the beach, something that could be done on the bus so as not to waste time. The bags are inspected thoroughly, but we wait for the identification which seems a little disorganized, and in the end we do not check the copy of our passports. Ronald tells us that we will have to follow him throughout the journey, that he will identify the animals and insects in sight and point them with his telescope, with which he will use his phone to take photos which will be redistributed at the end via What's app or Facebook. All this aims to simplify observation for everyone. Some are less disciplined than others, and the groups get mixed up from time to time. Along the way, we observe two types of dragonflies, two sloths that are difficult to see, a capuchin monkey eg two howler monkeys, a bat hanging from a leaf, a wood crab and a bird nesting on the ground, camouflaged among the plants. The humidity is rather heavy and the journey stops at the beach around 11:30 AM where we go to the toilet and drop off our luggage which Ronald undertakes to watch over. We have one hour for swimming on this beach in a magnificent bay, frequented by capuchin monkeys against whom we are warned, because they try to steal or trample luggage left unattended. At Ronald's suggestion, some will have changed into swimsuits when visiting the restaurant. The 12:30 p.m. meeting is extended because there are no participants on the call and it will be 30 minutes later, not counting the spectacle of the capuchin monkeys trying to explore the objects left alone, that we will leave for the restaurant , a journey of more than 30 minutes. It's nice to sit on the terrace and enjoy the complimentary pineapple or blackberry batidos. Levrepas is hearty, not always to everyone's taste but very, mahi mahi, chicken, burger, or other pre-selected choices. Even if we liked it, the circuit in the humidity and the size of the group are disturbing; Ronald still spotted many animals and without his help, we would not be able to make these observations alone. A good tour where we leave early for a busy 9 to 10 hour round trip, which would benefit from some improvements in terms of organization, but which delivers the CD it has to deliver.

Park and beach tour - I joined 11 other folks on this tour of Manuel Antonio Park. This is one of the tours that originates in Jaco, so I was able to get picked up in Esterillos Oueste. We stopped at a little bakery in Parrita where I got a delicious spicy and savory arreglada and some coffee. The guide let us know our lunch choices and put in the order ahead of time so the meal was ready when we arrived at the restaurant in Quepos after the park tour. The walk in the park followed the main path to the beach. We walked slowly and our guide expertly picked out multiple flora and fauna. He took photos through the scope and shared them with us after. We saw all the usuals. At the beach we had an hour to swim or walk around. **Notes about the park: Lunch wasn’t until 2 (no food allowed in the park ), so plan accordingly. I would have eaten two arregladas! Even if you have been traveling with and reusing the same plastic water bottle for two weeks, if it is of the sort that can be bought already containing water, it is not allowed in the park. You will have to buy an expensive, cheaply made plastic or metal bottle just outside the entrance, which the vendor will fill from plastic disposable water bottles. Lol.

Highly not recommended - The reality is that the walk through the park made practically no sense to me. With luck, with a telescope you could see the silhouette of what could be a sloth at the top of a tree. Throughout the tour we saw 3 monkeys, 2 bats in the distance, and the occasional smaller bug, hyper camouflaged, and at a great distance. I travel a lot and I expected to see a lot more fauna in Costa Rica. In Thailand in a similar park the number of animals was incomparable! Thousands of animals, countless. The monkeys in their hundreds. After the whole journey that seemed eternal, we arrived at a really beautiful beach where we were given just 20 minutes to enjoy it. The mediocre food, the cold drinks, the soft drinks you have to pay for separately, otherwise they give you juices full of sugar... anyway
... I do not recommend it

Disappointing - This trip was not for us. The guide spent 80% of our time on the gravel entry way at the beginning of the park looking through the telescope at every bug and leaf. While interesting at first, it was just way too long and boring. We tried to go explore the beautiful trails and asked the guide if we could meet him somewhere at the end and he would not give us a meeting place and insisted we stay with him. I’ve been to the park before and this trip just seemed like a lot of time was wasted.

They left me stranded - I contracted a tour to Manuel Antonio with them 4 days in advance. The day of the tour arrived and the transportation did not appear. 30 minutes, 45 and they told me that this delay was normal because they picked up other people first. Then they told me that the driver had fallen asleep and that they were fixing it. 3 hours later they told me that the driver was already arriving. Finally the driver arrived almost four hours later and told me he couldn't take me because he was "sick." I asked for my park ticket and I didn't have it either. I asked for the phone number of a guide in Manuel Antonio and no one answered me nor did they have WhatsApp.
I decided to go to the agency on my own and was told it was something out of their control. They didn't take care of anything and in the end they didn't resolve anything. With the time it was and without a ticket, I couldn't go. I have lost this entire day in Puerto Rico and the travel agency only says that it is not in their hands.
Not to mention that yesterday on another tour with them they told me that they would pick me up and take me and it was not true. They also promise waterfalls and they are two tiny waterfalls.
LOOK FOR SOMEONE MORE SERIOUS FOR YOUR VACATION.
